I moved to Lindenhurst knowing the property taxes would be higher than Cook County...but not as high as my first tax bill was (1/3 higher). I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. If the taxes keep going up I will have to move back to Cook County. We can't aford a TIF development. Who can shop at high end stores if you are being taxed out of your home right now. NO HIGHER TAXES so SOME CORPORATE BUSINESS CAN MAKE PROFITS OFF local residents.
