Both of the Lake Villa Officers are part-time Hainesville officers. Most (if not all) police departments have a chase policy where they essentially only chase if it is a matter of life and death. And I don't think a car spinning its tires and taking off fast from a stop light is life or death. I agree they should have followed, but when the offender made the U-turn, the officers ended up hitting each other causing major damage. Can Hainsville afford such a costly mistake? The answer is no. If we lost 2 police cars in an accident, we wouldn't have any (unless you count the 1950's version parked behind the village hall).
Barney should feel right at home in that 1950's version then, shouldn't he?

It was one of the officers that also work for Hainesville - newspaper says they were released - but still hope they are doing ok.. really smashed up those cars - got to love those high speed chase - many towns don't do them... so now what will they do for vehicles.
Officers should only be allowed to hold one commissioners card - that way they work for one dept and one only - what are these people thinking...<quoted text>
Hey maybe they can use the old Mayberry squad that Hainesville has, better yet maybe the chief will just let them take a Hainesville squad?

they have the new moped thing do drive, or can't they use a bicycle - we can let them use ours - ours are just attached to the back of a squad car - a new form of bike patrol .. attach it to the back ......

word has it residents will be turning in others that roll through a stop sign and will be fitted with radars to get those speeders, you will not only see tension between neighbors but how will justice be served if one is ticketed and did not do it, go to court? Is there a reason why the police can't do this job, is it not their job?

must be missing something... unless a board member or two need to play...

Yes, I can imagine that one board member who they said had worked on the used police cars patrolling. Maybe it makes him feel important.
