Once again a dog attack that has nothing to do with a pitbull & yet they still get mentioned, why is this???? I agree with Eventempered's statement that if it was a pit or rot it would have been in the HEADLINE!! They need to start reporting as "Another dog attack that wasn't by a PITBULL". Watch Animal Witmess & Dogtown about the rescued "Vick" case dogs & hear the truth for once.

Baby Mama - how is the little guy? Just checking up. A couple of months ago the same thing happend to a two month old while he slept on the bed with his mother that worked 2nd shift or something. I don't know the degree of injury - but it saddens me considering your son's story was so popular... sad to hear of another little guy having to go through such long term problems.

Christmas was good. Day Day was very happy and got alot of gifts that he really enjoys! He also had all the love in the world surrounding him. He's is doing really good still. He will not go back to the doctor's for 6 months. They have to wait till everything is fully healed before they can do anymore surgery. I'm just grateful that he can be happy now. I am honestly scared for him to get surgery because it breaks my heart to see him hurt. But I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas and they also have a good New Years

Don't blame the dogs or children but children and pets needs to be supervised when together at all times ....Sausage dogs are the most aggressive dogs
Forget pit bulls, rottweilers and Rhodesian ridgebacks, it's the sausage dog that's the most aggressive breed.

WOW. Or maybe you are the uneducated hick that has NO FACTS except for what you have read so far. To put everyone in the county into the same category when you are very misinformed just showes your ignorance and stupidity. MAYBE the dog didn't do it...

this sounds like an accident, why is the parent charged? are we now in a society where somebody had to be charged with a crime anytime somebody is hurt? I could understand if it was a pitbull or rot, but this was a dachshund, not really any more dangerous than a cat. I can't imagine what this man is going through already, having his son mutilated, and to have to deal with these charges on top of it. Glad I don't live in Lake county...sounds like a bunch of hicks running things.

Ok this goes for anyone who agrees with Mike. You are all Idiots. First be better parrents and dog owners. The guy left a baby alone with an animal. Breeds do not matter people. Google labs attacking. Even puppies killed babies. So pretty much You are a horrible parrent if you leave a baby alone. 1. lets say no animal was around him. The baby can end up killing its self by falling off the couch landing on its head snapping it. Babies are fragile people. They cant withstand things an adult can. 2. They can pretty much wonder by them selves eat anything they see, Put there fingers in where they shouldnt. 3. Dont judge dogs. Why do you think they are Mans Best friends?!? A dog can attack depending on how they are raised. If the Dog owner plays agressive with him/her. Had some dog fighting in him. Or any other agressivness. Pretty much a baby pulls on a dogs tail or any part they dont like being touched they will respond, They have dog instints thats why its wise learn how to properly train your dog. Poor training = Poor behavior. Pretty much you are leaving a sheep in a lions cage.
