You realize that knowing English is not a requirement for citizenship nor does ownership of multiple vehicles directly correlate to lack of citizenship. Your profiling is what causes opposition to real immigration reform.
You're right the last thing we need is a bunch of would be do-gooders clogging up the system with false reports.
That would only help the illegals to slip past the cops.
If you really want to make an impact then encourage small business owners to hire legal citizens.
Its the small businesses that do the more hiring of illegals.
Major companies usually have strict policies against hiring illegals.
If you're that incline to rat out someone then rat out the drug dealers.
A lot of the money the illegals make flows through drug deals.
Worrying about how cars someone has in their driveway is stupid.

I think the voting results speak for themselves - believe I saw 359 yes answers, and only 6 no.

As a first generation American, I definitely support immigration. What I don't support is ILLEGAL immigration. The word ILLEGAL is conveniently dropped by many as they argue in favor of amnesty.

If you are here ILLEGALLY, you are committing an illegal act. That makes you a criminal - period. You should be sent back to the country you came from. That goes for the Polish, the Arabic, the Mexican, Puerto Rican, WHATEVER NATIONALITY YOU ARE.

Couldn't agree with you more. I too am a first generation American. But my family jumped through all the hoops to come here legally. Doesn't matter to me where you're from as long as you got here LEGALLY!!!!

Unfortunately we'll never get the laws we need until we get Obama out of office.
Even then we need at least a 60 majority in the senate.
Otherwise the RINO's will always side with the democrats on this issue.
Sad reality is the democrats always vote as a solid block. Whereas the republicans have too many RINO's in the party to ever get anything done.
Until we fix that we won't get anywhere with this problem.

It isn't a valid poll. One person can vote as many times as s/he wants.

We had plenty of opportunities under other presidents and the only one that did anything was Reagan who gave the illegals amnesty.

ICE is deporting more people since Obama came into office than it did during the Bush administration. Most people just want existing laws enforced.

Well if you want existing laws enforced then that would be Obama you need to talk to.
Ya can't keep blaming past presidents for the things the current president should be doing.

The point was he IS deporting individuals that are here illegally. That's enforcing existing laws.

Its about the AZ law. The law OBAMA was against.
That kinda like says it all.

I didn't miss what the thread is about. Let me summarize. AZ enacted a law to deal with illegal immigration because the federal government has failed to enforce existing laws. The AZ law directs its local law enforcement officers to enforce the federal laws.

The Obama administration has ICE deporting more people that are here illegally that in the past administration -- so they ARE enforcing existing laws although not to the degree to which they need to in order to solve the problem. The Obama administration has sent additional National Guard troops to AZ and other border states to enforce the border at areas where illegals are crossing.

In contrast, Republican AZ Senator John McCain has had many chances during his many terms in office to introduce the kind of immigration legislation or federal action that AZ wants. Why hasn't he done it? Republican President Reagan granted amnesty to illegals opening the floodgates to come to the USA and stay long enough to be granted amnesty again while taking full advantage of any social programs they could gain access to. Therefore, why should we conclude that having Republicans in Washington will deal with the immigration problem the way that you, I and the people of Arizona want it dealt with?

Wow you speak for the whole state of Az and you don't even live there.
They passed that law without your help.
Yeah i know all about the Az law.
Its the law Obama is against.
He's a total joke. If he wanted to get rid of illegals he would welcome that law. He would want as much help from the state as he could get.
You seem to keep ducking that.

You need to learn about politics.
Sending out state troupers is not a senators job its the governor's job.
They now have just such a governor.

As for McCain he is and always has been a RINO.
You should love that about him. You democrats flooded our primaries to make sure he was the republican choice.
You guys always scream you want a moderate, someone who'll work with both parties. Well he was it. You should have voted him in.
As for me i was voting for Palin.

Who said anything about state troopers?

As for the rest of this drivel -- you aren't making any sense. It's just the usual neocon rants that "no one is doing anything", "socialism" and "you guys" would do it better, except "you guys" had your chance and didn't do squat. Go make a hat with some tea bags hanging from it, grumpy old man.

What a clueless remark. You obviously know nothing about the Az situation.
How can you possible say we don't do squat when the republicans passed a law in Az and the governor signed it.
Anyway throwing out personal insults is usual for democrats when they can't win on the issues.
If that's all you got then no need to continue conversing with you.
Come back when your ready to talk issues not insults.

Is this about the 10th or 11th person you decided you aren't going to continue to converse with? You just want to talk at people, not actually have them find the flaws in your arguments and have a conversation. If they don't agree with you, you don't talk to them anymore. That's sign of brilliance, right?

I just called you a grumpy old man because you are one. You treat everyone like dirt if they don't agree with you.

Today the ice cream woman was driving by with a cell phone stuck to her ear

just cruising along why they even waste the time and gas
she was more interested in talking to her boyfriend or girlfriend and then her driving or paying attention to potential customers

I hope to God we don't allow these Tijuana ice cream taxis our streets next year

I say ban these street roaches

How about you limit your posting to the topic, too -- or does that just apply to everyone else?
