10 Lake County towns can have Lake Michigan water
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources says 10 Lake County communities are welcome to take water from Lake Michigan - but only if they can come up with the $250 million the project is expected to cost.

In today's economy, I'll stick with my well water, thank you very much. My daughter lives in North Barrington, in a very wealthy area and her water bill is outrageous.

Some local well water is not so safe anymore. We received an alert from the IEPA that our community’s private wells should be tested due to some chemicals that cause cancer. Once there was an ANTIOCH Village Well that was closed due to toxins like PCB's, I recall reading.
Many people who read about the pollution in well water are shocked at what they find.

Sick and tired of the calcium deposits and the red residue this city well water leaves all over. Constantly cleaning to keep my stuff clean and it is an appliance's worst nightmare like dishwashers, washing machine etc.
