Neither should be elected.

Osmond's record in Springfield is unremarkable. The only time she is heard from is when she is pandering for votes and money at election time. Further, she is supported by big business seeking special considerations for their donations.

The other person is a Democrat supported by teachers with an entitlement mentality. The very designation of Democrat should make most voters run away. Just look at how well a Democrat is doing shredding the USA.

Time for a Republican who will actually make things happen and not be bought and paid for by specialist interests as the current two candidates are.

i wonder why this map doesn't cover the 61st district
nor did this one
http://www.house.gov/representatives/#state_o...
but it does have good info on it.

if you have a link showing the 61st on a map please post it.

I agree basically with all that you said.
But just to be clear.
Special interest groups work both sides of the fence. Democrats certainly have their share of it too.
In fact no politician gets elected without some support paying for it. And anyone paying expects a favor somewhere down the line.

So as often the case it becomes a vote for the lessor of two evils.
Anyone not voting deserves the worse.

I dont think you have anything to worry about.
The guy doesn't even have a web page.
There's not even a mention of him on any democrat web pages.
But if its true about his high school years that would indicate he's a true democrat just Barry Obama and Bill Clinton.
Its ok for democrats to do illegal drugs while in high school but Bush got racked over the coals for drinking ( which was legal for him )while is college.

You must be on dope. You only hear from her when she is seeking reelection. I personally know a lot of people who have contacted her for very real concerns and she can't even be bothered to contact them back. She is lazy and can't be bothered to address the concerns of her constituients -- if anything she'll send you a cheap form letter that has absolutely NOTHING to do with what you contacted her for. She never does anything herself, I have never ever seen her go door to door personally. Heard from a reliable source that she also supports sending horses to a glue factory--that doesn't sit well with animal lovers. She is just a career politician hanging onto her husband's legacy. Get over it people, Tim was a great guy and I voted for him in the past, but he's gone and his "widow" is NOTHING like him and never was. If anything he has probably flipped over in his grave on how she does or in most cases how she doesnt do things for this district. You cant define her on how his record was. She keeps playing the 'widow factor' even after all these years since he's been gone to gain the sympathy vote. Again, GET OVER IT PEOPLE. Tim was fine, she on the other hand is a totally different story and she needs to go and should have been voted out a long time ago. So much for her buddy Suzi Schmidt too. She tried to talk her buddy into staying and running for reelection again cause she could care less what kind of people are representing our senate district. Osmond is just as dirty as Schmidt is only she hasn't been caught ---- yet. She is a very crooked individual and has ties to many other crooked individuals she just tries to come across as this sweet, clean cut lady. Don't be fooled, it's what goes on behind the scenes that nobody seems to know about that just hasn't made it to the surface yet that people should be concerned about --- she will get people to do her dirty work and make it appear as though she had nothing to do with it. They ought to investigate her like Blago--you might be surprised what dirt they'd dig up. She has dirty laundry that should be aired out. People you really need to think carefully when going into that voting booth cause things aren't always what they seem on the outside. I'm not crazy about Ed Erwin either, he seems like an air head, but considering our choices, I'd rather vote for him than not vote at all or maybe I'll just skip District 61 altogether on the ballot (cause really they both suck). Also just for the record, I am as Republican as you can get, but its like we're being backed up into a corner when really neither candidate is a good choice. But I definitely won't choose Osmond.

Osmond WILL be re-elected and that is a shame. She takes care of her friends and doesn't give a damn what other people think. She is also a liar. Take that to the bank. But there is no way she won't be sent back. The emotional ties to her husband are too great. And, she is a throwback to old Antioch politics. Thank God that is dead except for this issue. Get ready to deal with 2 more years of the same.

We have to vote each and every career politician out of office and Osmond has been in way too long and has done absolutely nothing. All of them career politicians have contributed to where we are today and we are definitely not where we want to be--so people it starts out with us and our votes and we need to clean house big time and start from scratch cause obviously if you keep voting the same people in over and over again and you don't see any improvement (which we don't) it's time to do something about it which has been long overdue. I don't care for Ed Erwin either I heard about him being a pot head and also has had a DUI on his record but honestly he can't be any worse than Osmond, so I'm willing to take a gamble on him (not much of a choice) but Osmond had her chance multiple times and she just doesn't cut it. Osmond is just a bad habit (kinda like smoking) and that we can't get rid of and that people seem to cling to--it's her husband's record you all are trying to cling to but it's time to move on, she is nothing like her husband and her husband would run circles around her, but again no more sympathy votes -- do the right thing and vote her out!! If we would have voted all these career clowns out of office long ago we probably would be much better off and yes Madigan has got to go too.

There should be a two term limit for ALL politicians in every political job.
If its a good rule for our president its good rule for every office holder.

Hey Ed! What's shaking honey pot? Remember who you got jiggy with at Willowbrook H.S. Class of '76 prom?

Just wondering. Has Osmond done anything to help our area? EVER? From what I know, she is a waste of time, money, and space in Springfield. Reelected term after term after term by her crony pals and a few ignorant voters, and by the ambivalence of the giant percentage of uninvolved, unknowing, uncaring, uninformed, and unthinking non voters.

Here's one thing she has done:

In 2007, she supposedly received a complaint from three of her hack buddies who wanted 4 Village of Antioch Trustees efforts to secure an additional attorney at no expense to taxpayers stopped. The Trustees did not trust then mayor Dorothy Larson's attorney (either one of them).

Mrs. Osmond then marched to Springfield and introduced legislation to stop the Antioch Trustees from their efforts to protect taxpayers. She made NO effort to mediate, meet with the Trustees, or get all sides of the story. Politics at its worst. Osmond should have been fired then for incompetence and bias.

Well, you misspelled Colleen's name, first of all. Second, in the summer of 1976 I was already down at college. And third, Colleen spent a wonderful weekend with my wife and I in 1985, but I have lost touch with her since then. It saddens me that you would use that name and besmerch her character like this. I wish I'd seen these comments last year. And, I wish you were honorable enough to use your real name.

By the way, I NEVER wore Earth Shoes.

Really Kathy? I was your 'go-to' pot guy? Well, I wish that were true because then I wouldn't have had to work and take out student loans to go to college and law school. Wish I'd seen these comments last year. But, hey, stay classy, Kathy.

Yeah, "Really Ed." You are strictly an opportunist lurking in the shadows waiting for your next free lunch. Tell us more about that freaky deaky threesome you had with Colleen.
