I am the grand daughter of Stephen Bergdal. He develped Lake Telemark and also names the town. I wish I could find out more information about him. If you know anything about the history of Lake Telemark I would love to know more.

I live in Colorado Springs. I lived in Lake Telemark from 1962 until 1991, when I moved to Colorado Springs.

Hello,
I am your grandfather's brother's granddaughter. His name was Halvard Bergdal and he and his brother Stephen started the community of Lake Telemark in N.J. My grandfather had two children, William, who was my father and his younger sister Esther. My dad had inherited the house when his mother died and this is the house where I grew up. I was really surprised to read your message! My father always spoke of his Uncle Stephen and his Aunt Pearl. Wow, this means we are distant cousins. We saw on the internet about another brother named Ed. I don't remember my father ever talking about him. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Harold, I sold you my old bike way back in the 40s for a buck. I kind of know your comings and going through our mutual pal Andy Krall. He visits in NC each year and frequently we do get together for dinner. I am retired in NC and still playing golf. Heard the ol' Green Pond Golf Club is now overgrown. Regards, Walt Swanson

Hi Walter, Yes I have been kept up to date with you and your family through Andy. He is great about staying in touch with the Telemarkers. He was n town last month for the memorial services for my wife Judy who passed away from pancreatic cancer. We had 45 great years together and have 2 wonderful daughters with grandchildren. Last month I was in West Chester, Pa for Thanksgiving with Kristina and next week I am going to Switzerland to be with Jennifer and her family for Christmas. I was sorry to hear of Marie's passing. She was the prettiest of the Telemark girls. I know you have remarried and have visited Ann in Minnesota. I do not remember the bike, but that was 60 years ago. Have a Happy Christmas. Harold
