Dixie, I'm going to issue a retraction at this time. I have spoken to the hubby and he remembers the study, but he reminded me of how long ago it could have been. He said he remembers that we had a dot matrix printer!LOL

Well, moving along. I have had many latin girl friends that were very diligent in taking their birth control, and still became pregnant. I myself have missed about 6 days total in a year and didn't have that problem. Where they did. You should be able to miss a day here and there and not have a problem. It usually takes up to a year to conceive after discontinuing the pill. I'm still sticking with what I said, I just can't back it up!

I knew a latina who got pregnant on the pill. She ran out of hers and was borrowing her sister's pills. Oops!! If you read the instructions, missing more than one day means using a backup plan for the rest of the month. Some women just can't manage to remember to take that pill at the same time every day-they get pregnant no matter what race they are.

I was refering to six seperate days in a year. If you miss six days in a row and you have unprotected sex, your asking for it!LOL I agree, you have to take it at the same time everyday or you'll be SURPRISED!

Yes, I have a classroom full of those little surprises (maybe half of them & me were unplanned). They grow up so fast!

Well, there were some others--Mother Teresa, Rev. MLK Jr., Nelson Mandela, Elie Wiesel, Linus Pauling....they were pretty impressive.

Most/all the folks on the Nobel committee are non-Americans. They couldn't vote for Obama for pres and I think they felt left out? Just a theory. Or maybe it was their idea of saying thank you to American citizens who did voter for him?

Not a bad theory, they want us to be like eurpoeans and he wants us to be like eurpoeans. I know the first pioneers left europe so they would NOT be like europeans!!! Those of you who wish to be like europeans please immigrate and stop screwing up the US, we still don't want to be like europeans.

Obama would accuse you of being selfish and not wanting to share the wealth. As his presidency continues, I am wondering if there will be any wealth to share. I think that's his goal, to bring America down to the level of the rest of the world.
