What was really bad was the speech that he gave to the joint session of Congress. It is not only him but all politicians. I put some music on and put the TV on mute and just looked at the whole bunch.

They all are a bunch of phonies. We elect of bunch of people who's main job is to balance our checkbook and they cannot even do that. Legislation, oversight, and other things that they do is secondary to balance the budget.

They don't care about us. I wonder what this healthcare plan is all about. Why are they really doing this? Do they plan to invest in the companies that will profit from healthcare?

If my family (parents, kids, grandkids, etc.) care about me they balance their checkbooks and don't over spend so I don't have to bail them out.

These people(politicians) will not balance the checkbook, their main job, which would make it better for all of us. They have been doing this for the past 40 years, spending more than they make. Makes me so mad just to look at them. Get them all out of office and send some people that really care about us. Makes me sick.

The only real way to make changes in Washington is to vote them all out of office, force term limits, and demand defecit reduction by sound fininical management (bring in 1 dollar, spend 90 cents, bank 10 cents).

May you all remember those horrible images of the twin towers falling down, and the lose of so many lives from so many nations.

9-11 was a prime example of government failure to communicate and do the right thing, Just like Katrina.

God bless America.

Everyone of them exactly the same. why not just listen to the music? Where are you going to "people that really care about us" pray tell? Elect them and they morph into politicians, right? Maybe you should try "Public Service" and experience the transformation.

I for one don't want uncaring big government bureaucratic profiteers running health care, I want uncaring big business insurance bureaucratic profiteers and uncaring big buck, big medicine lobbyist running health care. Maybe we'll end up with all of the above.

Oh, the topic: Kids that don't respect teachers or have involved parents are not going to have a life-changing experience because the President speaks on television for a few moments.

By all means, a revolving door of non-entities is the answer. Business should be run the same way. One you gain experience and demonstrate ability within the company you should be terminated no matter how you have performed. We have term limits, they are called elections. Your problem is with the electorate.

9-11 just like Katrina? God save America from absolutists.

Maybe politicians should be made to go to school and get a passing grade before they are eligible for public office. Wouldn't it be nice if they had to learn what they are suppose to be doing for us before they are elected. lol

maybe if you had listened to the speech instead of being so immature, you might have gotten answers to at least some of your questions! I did.

"Stupid is as stupid does"...

If the 'heros' YOU'VE placed in office can't act adult enough, smart enough, or respectfull enough, then YOU need to ensure that this type of outburst does not happen again.

Yes, yes, I know it's not your problem, you didn't vote "that person" info office, but like in the move 'I Robot', once a clone always a clone and 'you can't put makeup on a pig to change the pig'.

Stupid is as stupid does...blind leading the blind and keep a watch on the horizon...major news coming down the pike...mark my words.

I thought the speech was for school kids. I'm glad you listened to it and hope you learned something.

On the one side there is a man, our President, trying to make the US a better place for Americans by offering a chance to live a healthy life with affordable health care. On the other side a man, calling himself Joe Wilson,(like Joe the Plumber) whose real name is Addison Graves Wilson, is a member of the organization, Sons of Confederate Veterans. SPLC http://www.splcenter.org/intel/intelreport/ar...

A few facts about Joe. Wilson served as an aide to the late segregationist Senator Strom Thurmond, who is credited with conducting the longest filibuster in Senate history -- against the 1957 civil rights bill.

A large percentage of Wilson's campaign contributions come from the health sector, according to OpenSecrets.org . Over the course of his eight-year congressional career, Wilson has collected $414,000 from the health sector. http://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/indust...

Wilson is an adamant opponent of health care reform. As reported by The Hill. http://thehill.com/blogs/twitter-room/other-n...

A military veteran whose health-care coverage is set for life, even after he retires from Congress, Wilson has "voted 11 times against health care for veterans in eight years, even as he voted 'aye' for the Iraq War..., " according to Adam Weinstein, an uninsured Iraq-war veteran, writing at Newsweek's The Gaggle.
http://www.indigojournal.com/showDiary.do;jse...

"He voted to cut veterans' benefits─not his own─to make room for President George W. Bush's tax cuts," Weinstein says. "He repeatedly voted for budgets that slashed funding to the Veterans Administration and TRICARE. And perhaps most bizarrely, he refused -- repeatedly -- to approve Democratic-led initiatives that would have extended TRICARE coverage to all reservists and National Guard members, even though a disproportionate number of them have served multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan -- and many lost access to their civilian work benefits when they did so."

Now that is the stupidist thing you could have said. I listened to the speech. It was absolutly irrelevant to reality. He is the president, why is he still campaining? Where is the leadership. He stood there and pulled lie after lie about healthcare out of his &^% while his party clones jumped up and down like a wack-a-mole machine. I was disgusted by him and the ardent liberal democrats. Joe Wilson may have been inappropriate, but he was correct.

I think I just figured it out...

people can't use the term Tea Partiers because that MIGHT compare them with the revolutionary members that began our fight for freedom from England. Instead, they come up with a disgusting sexual term to try and denegrate the people who participate, showing just how immature and childish they truly are....
What a sad state our country has fallen into when the BEST we can come up with is immature and childish sexual innuendoes and lame second meanings....

Perfection, I believed I posted a long time ago, in one of these threads, what the REAL Tea Party was about. It wasn't a fight about freedom, it was a fight about taxes. The first Tea Party, was about corporate America being taxed, unfairly for their tea, so England could sell their tea cheaper. The revolution for freedom from England control came a few years later.

Bill....
The TEA Parties in this day and age stand for:

Taxed Enough Already.. TEA

Tax issues..

But you go ahead and continue to defend a disgusting sexual act... I though you would be above that, but perhaps there is more to you than meets the eye....

Should we then rush the congress and throw them out the doors? It's symbolism Bill. If you don't like it just say so and leave it at that. Good Grief!
