I'm not a Marine, so am missing some background, but why would an accident while playing catch even go on someone's record or merit such a consequence? For the dumb choice of playing it with a rock? If so, why wasn't the other participant included as well?

Whoops...Looks like the link went bad on this. Curious about playing how playing catch with a rock turned into something that sounds pretty negative.
