I think that is a fine example of policing in this city, they just rush the house with guns blazing..

this is horrible. how could you shoot him? why? you dont get it. you truely dont get it until you see the look on his sisters face when she found out he was shot. im saddened by the fact that he was shot. though breaking in a place is wrong and police did what they should have. why hurt him so bad? oh and baout the rumors that he was there to molest the girl. LIES. just to let you know. he wasnt.

I agree that this was an over reaction by the police dept. I am unsure if they really know what they are doing - after all, it was BIG news when they got their first breathelizer test - ugh. On the other hand, if the dude is breaking in - someone better take control - perhaps not at this level, but control non the less.

Many of you say things like you were right there. From what I have read this individual is criminal with a long history already at the age of 17 years old.

Look how may police officers have been killed in this state during the pass five years. I was in a Everett hospital ER last year when one offcier came in with a knife still stuck deep in his side.

Before any of you judge these officers let the investigation finish. Each day they risk the chance of getting kiled at their jobs because of situations like this.

If that 17 year old pulled a gun and shot these officers dead and then killed the little 13 year old girl you would think different.

I would also make a bet with any of you this individual will not change. If you follow his life he will be arrested within a short period of time after getting out this time . I also will bet any of you he will spend much of his life in jail and prison.

I have a plan: Don't give police a reason to shoot you.

To clarify, I feel sorry for anyone who gets shot, but I don't have much grace for someone breaking into a home. Police don't shoot for no reason. They do make mistakes, but they only fire if they feel there is no other option.

Shoot first and ask questions later I guess
