I just checked the website of the group who is trying to hyjack the great community of Lake St Louis - the Watchers.

Their latest tact is to blame the BOD for the $35K bill for the special election THEY forced on our community.

There are too many lies and Jerry PR spins in there for me to list, but the cliff notes are they feel the BOD drove up the cost of THEIR election. This group obtained signatures on a petition with two items. Then this group of less than ten people created their own ballot of eight items to serve their own special interests and had the nerve to ignore requests from the CA members who signed the petition to give input into the final ballot.

They claim the BOD is evil and does not listen to the Ca membership,,, when the do the same over and over. This small group should relaize there is a democratic process that worked in the last two elections and move on. PLEASE stop wasting our money!

This group and their useless lawyer should be sued by the CA memebership to get our $35K back.

jpowers, just to point something out. You claim the Watchers are a small fringe group- less than 10. A point in fact- the CA is run by a group of 5. That also is less than 10. Those 5 want to stop the full membership from having a vote on many issues. The watchers had signatures from many of those members who want the right to have a voice.

The signatures were collected on 2 items- the Board chose to drive costs up by adding wording which only could lead to confusion. The CA Board is responsible for listening to the members. They chose to fight the members who signed the petition. They chose to force the membership to allow the board to run things as the board wishes- without having to worry about the members who PAY FOR THINGS!

The CA is not evil- but they are not listening to the membership to the highest level.

Also- do everyone a favor- stop referring to a website that you won't provide a link to. Let us read the website and make up our own minds.

Also- does it occur to anyone that the Board is made of entirely of residents who live on the north side of the lake. The South side is not represented at all. Our city government understands the needs ma vary by location and has representatives for each area. The CA Board has no requirement. Is this because they don't want the 'new' residents on the south side of the Lake to interfere in 'their' community?

LiSaL-
1) The BOD is made up of 5 people we elected. If you don't like them or want someone from the South end of the CA,,,, why don't you run? FYI - I live on the South side and feel the BOD of 5 (actually only 4 of them) represent the ENTIRE CA very well. The one that does not is a open member of the Watchers.
2) I was one of the people who signed the petition with two items and I am very upset that this group of Watchers ignored my requests to offer input into the final ballots. If you think the 1300 people that signed the petition with two items agree with all eight items the Watchers came up with on their own.... you are sadly mistaken. We were taken advantage of by this group who want to push their own personal agendas.
3) This group continues to state they speak for 1300 members,,, this is another LIE. If they were to re-petition the 1300 they would get a MUCH lower number as many people now see the light with this group.
4) I will not provide a link to thier website as I don't want to give their propaganca site any more PR. Don't you find it interesting they don't allow opposing views to be discussed on their website? They also forced another website to shut down due to postings from people who don't agree with their scare tactics, lies and hidden agendas?

Here's the website that jpowers is to afraid to let everyone know about. I guess he feels that open information isn't a good thing for America. Is that democratic, socialistic or Marxist? Makes you wonder what his real agenda is doesn't it?

Darwin,

Open information is not one-sided with a serious slat towards your agenda. Why won't you allow both sides of this issue to be heard - afraid of the truth?

Would you like to call me a communist,,,,, ohhh that's another lie your group started.

PS - My real agenda is to keep this community just how it is now,,,,, a great place to live and raise a family. There you found out my secret agenda.

Why don't you address my points above instead of making accusations Jerry?

jpowers- so you support two sided information- but decline to allow the website that presents a view in opposition to yours to be known? The logic of that escapes me. Your questioning my allowance of both sides to be heard lacks credibility since I haven't tried to hide the source for various information.

I didn't call you a communist- actually I didn't call you anything - yet.

Your agenda is claimed to maintain the status Quo- some do not agree that that is the best, but to each his own.

I am not Jerry- whoever that is.
I have addressed your points, if only you were not so pig-headed that your missed it.

As for the CA and you- when the CA is dissolved and you are gone- things will have a chance for real progress in this community- the hidden racism and prejudice will finally be vetted.

Oh yes- my group as you call it consist of ME. I do not personally know a single person on the Watchers group, the CA board or you. If I have ever met any of those people, I did not realize their position.

So, my group started no lies because, A) I have no group and B) I haven't lied, only expressed opinion and relayed factual information.

At this point I must ask you- is your delusional view shaped by too many drugs in you youth, or the toll of senility on an old feeble mind?

Darwin,

I have reviewed your previous posts and can tell you are a very bitter person.

If you hate it in LSL so much,,, why don't you move instead of bitching about our great community?

jpowers- I can tell you are an old fart that doesn't want to accept change. Everything was better in the old days right- why change to something new?

You remind me of the guy down the block. I was talking to his wife the other day and she said her husband was getting more and more senile daily.

I just said- don't worry about it Clarice, he's just getting old.

Darwin,

So why don't you move,,,, and while you are at it learn to respect your elders.

Are you one of the CA members who are delinquent in your CA dues?

jpowers- respect is something to earn. Age isn't a valid qualifier. Why should I move? Did I ever express an interest in moving? Or is being so dissatisfied? I bought my property fully aware of the regulations. That doesn't mean I have to like them all.

And, no- I am not now, nor have I ever been behind on my dues, taxes, routine bills, charges, etc. I confess, though, I was a day late with a video rental on a few occasions.

so what exactly are your complaints about LSL - what makes you hate this BOD so much?

Please refrain from name calling or I will ignore your future posts.

jpowers- I never said I hated the BOD, just that I don't agree with all of their choices.

I don't see name calling up there, other than where you keep referring to me as some GUY named Jerry, or where you called me bitter, or maybe even that I hated the BOD, other than that, I did say you are an old fart.

I really am convinced you are senile, since your comments really don't match the facts.

Ignore me? well, why do I care- go ahead and ignore me.

Darwin,
What choices don't you agree with?

Bob- the choice to confuse the ballot with additional wording. The choice to limit the rights of homeowners and what they can do with their property, the choice to spend countless dollars on land to prevent additional membership, and then claiming to need more money to support things. The choice to try to raise fees for everyone when the majority of people that pay those fees are limited in what they get for those fees. If they want to build a new indoor pool, great- but if I don't want to pay for an additional pool for those who don't have their own, why should my fees increase?

I agree with most of your points. I was on board with the Board's plan until they wanted to develop Edgewater. That was over the top in my opinion.

I had a major problem with the way the "Group" protrayed their petition. It was vaguely worded, so I don't have a problem with the way the Board interpreted it.

The people voted down the indoor pool idea, democracy worked. If you don't like the types of proposals brought up for a vote then vote out those that bring up those types of proposals, but until then, you can keep voting against those proposals. How about that proposal?

BTW, the old website must be coming back, it has recent posts, but you have to be a member to post and I can't figure out a way to get a login and password.
