Do any of you Lake St. Louisans ever drive by 30 Harbor View Drive? OMG...How do they get away with being so trashy? This house looks like it's condemable from the front and from the lake. Who are these people and how do they get away with all the broken down cars and sooo much trash in the driveway. It's obvious they do not have trash pickup. I'm embarassed ever year when my family comes in to visit for the holidays. Why doesn't the community association do anything about this dump?

OMG suzie- it's such a shame that another intrude on your personal concept of perfection..... Give them a break. Maybe they have health and financial issues.
And actually- your comments leave so much to be desired. Like- how many broken down cars are there? and are the cars licensed? And what exactly is the trash?

Personally a few broken down cars that are more fuel efficient are much preferred by some thna a huge waster of energy that a Hummer represents.
So- maybe it's your perspective.- Maybe it's just your intolerance.

Are you a CA member? If so- call them and complain- I'm sure they'll be happy to make someone's life less pleasant in the name of asthetics.

why is this the CA's problem? Sounds like a City Code Enforcement issue to me.

It's a dual issue in Lake St. Louis. The city has a code enforcement, but the CA also has their own code enforcement. Violate a C A rule and they give you fines and put liens on your property.

Nice thing is that sometimes the CA rules are not the same as teh city laws. That makes it fun for a homeowner to figure out what to do.

I'll have to go by this place- I don't really know of any trashy houses like described.

LiSal. Fist of all what do you mean by "another intrude on your personal concept of perfection"? Second of all, have you driven by this house? I must drive by it every day and I have no other to describe it than trashy. The trash is actually their garbage from their home, their daughter told my daughter that they do not have trash pick-up so they put it in the garage and the overflow is in the driveway. The cars in the driveway have expired licenses and broken windows. So before you to attacking me, take a look at the home first and ask yourself if you would like driving by this home everyday. I am very proud to live in Lake St Louis, but ashamed of this home.

Harbor View Dr is sort of a crappy street in general. The PD always has something in that area.

Hey Name says it all- since you are so happy to share someone else's name- why not use your real name-

What a two-faced low-life.

I lived in LSL from 1979-1996 and I can tell you its who you know to what you get by with at the lake. We did everything by the book and got in trouble for having our boat (repairing) 1/2 day longer in drive. I drive threw from the Meadows to 70 and shock at how the houses are painted bright rediculous colors. You would of been shot for that when I live there... Its a great place on one hand but lots of politics and as you know that is a can of worms... Good Luck trying to get this resolved...

I live in Lake St. Louis and drive the boulevard daily, frequently drive the area near the Meadows. I've never seen a house 'painted bright rediculous colors'(your spelling- not mine).

Where are these houses that make you want to shoot someone?

Sharon says, "We did everything by the book and got in trouble for having our boat (repairing) 1/2 day longer in drive". Oops, that 1/2 day was not "by the book" after all. And, had she not been caught breaking the rules, how much longer would the boat have been there? Don't like the rules? Either get them changed, or move (which Sharon apparently did). And I agree with JL, I have not seen any bright colored homes in LSL anywhere near the Meadows. Maybe they aren't actually in LSL?
