I hope its someone from outside Franklin Co.
I hope its someone who has exsperience in Accounting, and want to set a standerd of accountability for all that were involved, including the board mumbers that resign from the board. Just becouse someone " might say " thay don't want to be apart of something that is going on and quits the board. Thay have a legal obligation to do something about it. Not walk away, and state other reson for leaving.
Thay should have stated why thay were leaving, But we all know that in Malone if you go against the powers thay get you.

We all expect the SP to get to the bottom of this and do what is nessasary to correct problems at comlinks.
You are hoping for heads to roll, not for justice, but to validate your failures in life, which you refuse to take responsibility for. You prefer to blame your life failures on "them" and every single post you make re-affirms your quest to lash out at those whom you blame for your own troubles. Get a grip, if board members quit because they didn't approve the management style, there is no law that can be used to send them to prison or whatever rediculous thing you want.
It's time you take responsibility for your own life and stop preaching that Malone is the most evil corrupt place on Earth.
This is a town of honest hardworking good hearted people, some who have done well for themselves because they WORKED for what they have, not stole it, as you suggest.

People need to be very careful to seperate ComLinks the agency and staff and Nancy Reich and the Board.

People have said close ComLinks and fire everyone in charge now.

The people who are really ComLinks are those hard working local people who help women and men who are victims of domestic violence. They hand out food and run programs to get food to adults and children who need it. They fix the homes of the old and needy so they can make it through the winter. They have done this for years and did it when Ms. Reich was here - in spite of what was going on in the building. Those that work there stayed focused on the needs of the people of Franklin County. They did not stop working. They are giving people dedicated to the people of Franklin County.

They continued to stay focused despite the dictatorship that existed in the building and the board of directors choice to ignore the stories that were everywhere.

Please do not condemn ComLinks and the people who work hard to deliver services to and for the people of Franklin County.

The blame and any "punishment" belong to Nancy Reich and the Board of Directors at that time.

Malone is, indeed, corrupt. I, for one, hope that every single untoward thread is pursued here, and that anyone even remotely involved with this ongoing theft of the public treasury, or anyone who knowingly profited from it in any way, are prosecuted to the absolute fullest extent the law allows. But the situation at Com Links is only a symptom of a much wider political culture that is criminal at its very core. When elections are decided in advance in a barroom instead of at the ballot box, with a wink and a nod, then the real citizens here are treated like so many pawns on a chessboard. That isn't America, people.

There are many decent, educated, and highly qualified people here who will never get involved in community life because of the despotism and all the glad handing behind the scenes that goes on here. When the president of the board of Com Links defends his conduct, or lack of it, by saying that perhaps one of the worst audits in the history of the state of New York was "unbalanced", then it's obviously time to clean house in a very big way.

Malone suffers keenly from a lack of competent leadership. Grants are won, and then exhausted in administration costs. What on earth is that? Corruption, plain and simple. And no level of pollyannaish spin is going to change any of that, not ever.

Time to wake up, people. Way past time, in fact. Insist on free and fair elections and keep the pressure on the officials who are elected to do their damned jobs. Look around... the communities that are prospering all around us are doing so not because the good old hometown boy or girl, known to all, is doing things the same way they've always been done, but because the leadership has been willing and able to go above and beyond the status quo and provide the necessary impetus to get things done.

This is completly untrue, our elections are decided at the ballot box just like everywhere else.
No decisions are made in bars, you fabricated that in it's entirety.
And our local governments may be incompetent at times, but they are not criminal at all, you made that up too.

I blame NR and 3or 4 people who work under her, and I blame the board.

I really like to say thanks to all ComLink staff who sign the petition that went to the Board 40 of 49 people sign it.
The board showed GROSS NEGLIGENCE and the board showed gross negligence in standars.
I think a lawsute can be won in court.

So I think that Malone needs a all new board, a new CFO and CEO.

No No I am all for the common worker there as a lot of them are the backbone of tha organization and represent it well. That is what is even more troubling, who was there to protect these hard workers and belive me I know they are just that. You know a lot of what went on there so tell us just where did you sit in the chain of command. Not looking to argue with you or put you down and can respect your alliegance to the Company but you can put up more than just your defence of some of the leaders. Enlighten us please, thank you with respect I try.

Just wondering, do you have proof that elections are fixed in Malone? Are you saying that vote totals are falsified? That the hundreds or thousands of votes cast are invalid? Does this falsification apply only to local offices or does it involve state and federal offices? Is it only village and town, or is it school elections? Is it happening only in Malone, or does it happen in Bangor, Burke, Chateaugay, etc.? What is the proof? If have proof, have you contacted the appropriate Federal authorities? If have not contacted the authorities, aren't you doing the same thing that the COO and CFO of Comlinks are accused of? You are making very serious charges that I think deserve more explanation and investigation by Federal authorities. I know, people will get mad that I'm asking questions, but part of the problem at Comlinks was no one was asking questions and demanding factual answers. So, I'm asking and, politely, demanding more than an "everyone knows" answer.

Joe Bruso runs the Funeral Home. Well respected in the community. Did not know he was on Board too, sure he would be up & up with the people of Malone. He doesn't need to be involved with this mess, he has to much going for himself. His wife also is a hell of a worker, again she too is well respected in community. Could you be wrong!

Good Old Boy's Club!......... Malone and it's politic's have been corrupt since I moved here 30 something years ago. Not just Com-Links, but go back further, Community Action Agency, Chamber of Commerce, and oh wait who was North Country Community College President. Could it have been Nancy? Let's not leave out the County Legislators,or the other elected Officals. It all starts at the bottom and works up. Or is that _hit roll's down hill and start's at the top.
