I don't think this teacher should endanger the kids with both the handgun and her ex husband. She is putting the students, staff and civilians!

I think that she should be able to carry the gun in school because it is her second amendment right and she would be able to protect herself and her students.

Lets see, she is in danger, her students may be in danger because of that, she is licensed to carry in the state of Oregon and has as such been trained to carry a gun and was subjected to photographing, fingerprinting and investigation by chief local law enforcement in order to obtain a concealed carry permit, so what exactly is the question? Since she is going through legal channels to do what the constitution says she can do that should show all but the most blindly paranoid anti gun nut she is not a danger to society or her students. This is a real no brainer.

The 2nd amendmet (IN FULL ) is:
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

Why does everyone ignore the first half?

This was written by a young nation who had just overthrown an oppressive government mainly because the people had the arms needed to begin the revolution. They understandably wanted to insure that the people would always have the ability to overthrow the government.

Does that make sense today? Dose anyone really think we need to have guns available to anyone in case we decide it is necessary to overthrow the government?

The vast majority of Americans want to get guns off of the streets but the powerful gun lobby quotes the 2nd amendment, at least the 2nd half of it, and their huge lobby denies citizens the right to live without the daily gun violence that kills thousands every year.

Do some research. Find our what happened when Australia did just what you would like to do. No guns in Washington D.C.- how's their crime rate. Do you believe everything the liberal newspapers print? Sheesh!

The real no brainer, all you people who do not live in Medford and don't know the "REAL" story is , this woman is not in danger, never was in danger, and is just using this imagined "threat" to keep her daughter away from a Daddy who loves her and who the little girl adores. It is so frustrating to hear all of you go on and on about a situation you know nothing about. This woman is about as unstable as they come, and NO, she should not be allowed to carry a gun in school or anywhere else.

Obviously, everyone including the janitor should be armed. Why should this be limited to just the teacher.

Arm everyone! It is the wild wild west.

It is all of our rights to carry a concealed sidearm, regardless of our occupation. School districts need to respect the rule of law, even if they don't like it.
