This story shows why it is IMPERATIVE that EVERY pet owner, whether it's a dog, cat, or other animal, should have the animal microchipped for positive identification. I have both my cats microchipped. It is inexpensive and brings peace of mind. BE A RESPONSIBLE PET OWNER. Microchip your pets !

"We tried to do everything we could, and it's really unfortunate we had two customers who couldn't identify their dogs," she said.

I think they had a kennel owner, who did know enough to keep track of the dogs in her care. She is part of the its not my fault generation

Didn't she have like 8 black labs there? Those dogs all look very similar. One would think she would put some sort of ID on those dogs so she actually gives the right ones to their owners. At least my dog was a moggy so I would definetly recognize her in any dog group.

I wonder if I left my car for service, if the dealer could mistakingly give me a differant car, that was better? As long as the color was the same, who'd notice? What would have happened if the people that recieved the wrong dog got bitten by it, some people shouldn't be in bussiness.

Actually, it's a lot cheaper to just buy your dog a pair of pants. He can keep a wallet with an ID card or driver's license in his pocket.

While in the kennel, these two dogs conspired to mess with the owners minds. At the final meet, when everyone was satisfied as to the proper owners, those crazy dogs pulled a last minute switcharoo. Only a CAT scan will reveal the truth.

Back in the old days, before microchips, there used to be something called dog collars, and tags. People would have those tags engraved with their name on them.

I'll bet the dog was disapointed too. He wasn't at the right home. Think how the poor dog felt.

The kennel owner places 2 look alike dogs in the same cage, THEN blames the dog owners??? How about a collar? Or a neckerchief? Or a small white poodle as a cagemate?

I am sure ANY caged dog would be thrilled to see a human, and a car.......
