What if they brought bartenders and waitstaff in from out of town?

He is actaully hiring many contractors from the michigan area. the man who painted the huge guitar that hangs down from the ceiling works outside of clarkston. and the man who manufactured that bar himself is out of milford. way to go toby, for helping michigan's economy!

He is hiring American's!!!! Being Union doesn't make you American, in fact most of America isn't Union and they actually work and get paid for the job. The union escorted all the jobs out of this state and you people are still whining about it. Why don't you go get a Non-Union job and put some food on the table. The Unions only help the lazy assholes. If you work, you get paid, isn't that a good concept? By the way I am the son of a Union worker.

We are one of the few Union states and ironically we are broke. I think those two things are connected. Just a thought!!!

God Bless You Toby Keith!! Hire Americans!!! Screw the Union!!!

Ok I started working there last Wednesday (filling out and signing paper work stuff like that) I work again training this Wednesday when i was in there they were pretty much done with everything. The only thing they had left to do was finish painting the guitar on the ceiling checking electrical equipment and clean up. We were originally supposed to open February 1st which is what i was told upon hiring however construction was held up and now I was told March 1st will be the day of our grand opening.

As far as all you Union people go and all others that want to argue on where the construction people are from. SHAME ON YOU. Its people like yourselves that give unions a bad name. I work there and I can tell you that A lot of those people that worked on that building are from Michigan, and even if they weren't its none of your business. Your not the boss, you don't make the decisions for the company so shut your mouths. How about instead of sitting here arguing about what you have no control over get off your big fat lazy bums and look for another job. Have you ever thought that maybe you weren't hired based off your lousy attitudes? You don't work there so you don't know what goes on, take it from somebody who does and get over it. Whats done is done. End of story.

Hi, I'm a former UAW member with no diploma of any kind. I can't really do that much unless I am spoon fed instructions and the task meets all of our work rules. I don't want to really work hard, but I just want to get paid $25/hr plus benefits. Where do I sign up? Toby Keith OWES me this job!

BTW - I can't guarantee that I won't sabotage the quality of the job because of bitterness towards my employer.

Who cares what the union people feel. he's opening a business in a town dessimated by union contracts that killed GM and Chrysler. And if a union knows anything about rthe restaurant biz, they would know that with cookie units such as those in a chain, you find a crew and stick with them because there's no use in recreating the wheel with an idiotic and often stupid set of local union rules.

Ok, my family and I went there last night (03/05/10) on opening night for dinner. WHAT A MISTAKE! My wife informed me that the ladies room was partially flooded, water all over the floor, along with some toilet paper. Here's a breakdown of what happened. The times are approximate but very close.
5:25 PM: wife, kids, and I were seated in a booth near the stage. Great seats, no complaints there. We were actually right next to the wait station for the staff.
We watched countless servers and employees walk around as they were very busy. I even commented to my wife it looked like a couple of the female waitstaff were running laps we saw them walk past us so much.
5:40 PM: No servers or waitstaff had bothered to even talk to us. I got up and went to the hostess at the front and asked for some help. She got us a waitress (Jessica) who promptly lied to the hostess and stated that she checked on us. Jessica took our drink orders.
6:00 PM: Our drinks finally arrived with our appetizer. We ordered our dinners.
6:30 PM: Jessica is no where to be found, the girl she states that she was training shows up and asks if we need a refill and states that our food will be right up.
6:45 PM: Our waitress in training reappeared and asked if we needed a refill and again stated that our food would be right out.
6:55 PM: Our food arrives, well, somebodies food anyway. It wasn't what my son and I ordered. My wife and daughters food was right. The problem was that all of our food was cold. I mean, barely luke warm.
7:00 PM: I was finally able to get a waitress to stop and speak with us. I asked for the manager.
7:10 PM: The manager came over to speak with us and apologized. I informed his that I understand that it was opening night, but this was ridiculous. He suggested that since we waited so long already, we not wait any longer as the kitchen was very backed up and he couldn't guarantee when our food would be done.
Hey, he took care of the appetizer and the coke we each ordered. That was about it. I'll give anybody the benefit of the doubt, but this was inexcusable.
