This wouldn't happen to everyone because not everyone gets sloshed drunk. False comparisons and sympathy for stupidity do not justify or excuse criminal behavior. I feel for the children and the rest of their family, but the husband should (and will) go to jail for his crime. Yes... a crime.
Exactly what I'm trying to say....without being mean. but it is what it is....

Debbie and my wife are sisters. We went to the funeral and were suprized at the number of people who showed up. We thought that she was there all by herself. We were so thankful to find out that she was surrounded by friends. It is hard when family moves so fare apart. Just wanted to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. We know she is in a better place. She is with loved ones who passed before her. She is not alone and we will beable to see her again someday.
So what

Dee,once again I believe you are totally offbase here, and I think, finally, the evidence proves this!
This man loved his wife and kids very much, and everyone that knew them, knows this! including their kids.Just because someone drinks alcohol does not automatically make them a "DRUNKEN MONSTER" (your words)As you throw stones at this man and his family, I hope you have nothing to hide! Finally, I have one more point to make; consider this, if these good people were as you say they are (drunken monsters) again your words, I find it very hard to believe they would be able to provide the good, stable home for their children that they have provided all this time.

I'm sure he loved his family and his wife...but his drunkeness and her drunkeness killed her. ONLY REASON SHE DIED IS BECUZ THEY WERE DRUNK!!!! dont sugar coat it. i'm sure he loves his family...but it doesnt change thwe fact HE WAS A DRUNJK BEHIND THE WHEEL!!!!!! what if it was you on the road he hit or one of YOUR loved ones. Would u care how much he lioved his family then? I DONT THINK SO! it is what it is! and he WILL go to jail! not becuz he accidently killed her BECUZ HE WAS DRUNK!!!!!!if they wernt drunk it would have never happened!!

i feel for their kids. but if you are a drunk and you keep getting behind the wheel....something will happen sooner or later. it could have been an innocent child or family he killed he had NO buisness behind the wheel . he himself said he had 10 beers....that's just B.S. and it pisses me off. What if his kids were in the car and they crashed? would u be so forgiving? not me! he was old enough to know better and he's been a drunk driver for years!!!! and i9f it was someone u loved he killed while drinking & driving I dont think you'd be defending him!!!!!! or would u?

You sound like a very misinformed angry person... who does not know anything about these good people... it is not as cut and dry as you think! Scott is NOT a drunken monster! and his kids know this... quit bashing this mans character that you obviously know nothing of! By the way did you ever consider that Debbie may have been drinking as well? That bad things happen sometimes? No?... well that just shows how close-minded you are!
he was a drunk. what if it was someone you loved he killed on the road that night.would u be forgiving?? or the MANY other nights he drove drunk. DRUNK DRIVERS cant get away with sh*t just becuz they loved their family very much...or that he is sorry...I guarantee if U or I drove drunk and killed someone we WOULD GO TO JAIL and we should! and so should he...he has gotten lucky he hasnt killed anyone before this....if u know him u know he drove DRUNK all the time!!! go look @ some drunk driver photo accidents and then tell me u forgive some one 4 drinkin and driving. he was a serial drunk driver!

All I know is that I lost a friend -- and her kids are now left without their mom and possibly their dad...regardless of the circumstances around the scene and who is to blame - the kids do not need whispering, judging and name calling, they need support and love. Grow up and be an adult...if you knew this family and you knew my friend, you would know she would have done anything to keep this kind of talk from hurting her kids...don't be part of the problem...quit talking trash and find someway to help them.
r u crazy? he was sloppy drunk behind the wheel and u forgive this sh*t? I promise u if it was your loved one you would not defend him. Ask your self...PLEASE "would I be so forgiving if he crashed into someone I loved after confessing to drinking 10 beers?" I swear u would not defend him if it happen 2 you. I lost someone i loved very much becuz some thought it was ok to get behind a wheel after they had been drinking!!! it so stupid!! All drunk drivers that KILL people should be punished...he wasnt a kid this was a grown man!

He/She who is without sin shall cast the first stone. Unfortunately we are all sinners, therefore no one should be casting any stones Dee!!

To Scott, his children and their entire family, God has you wrapped in His arms and He will get you through this. My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you.

Hey Panther Mom what if it was your child or loved one he killed by being a drunk driver?(he drove drunk ALL the time) Would you cast any stones? Think about it...and answer honestly.. I'm not saying I live without sin but if I get drunk and drive and kill someone I would expect to GO TO JAIL! it wasn't a little crime it was DRUNK DRIVING....GOOGLE it and look at some pics and write back...and then tell me you SUPPORT A DRUNK DRIVER. He might be a good ole boy but HE IS A SERIAL DRUNK DRIVER! AND HE HAS TO GO TO JAIL! I would expect to go to jail...wouldn't you?

From what i recall of the story they were both drunk. Its not like he dragged her out of the house and ran her over. They were out drinking. Dont just judge by what one person says or the news. We all know how they report.

So what? did she run anyone over? Was she behind the wheel? It could have very easily been her that was driving & ran over him...then she would have went jail....What does the fact both were drunks have to do with the fact that HE WAS BEHIND THE WHEEL!!!!! AND DID IT ALL THE TIME!! some ppl are so stupid! let him hit ur kid as see whatcha think!

Aries

You'll be in a better position to get on well with someone who has power or authority over you. This might be your boss, some other authority figure, a friend you really respect or an older relative. Maybe you should chat up your superiors at the office Christmas party... or make more of an effort to understand what makes a certain person tick.
