I'll bet if she pleads guilty to all charges, the DA would accept her humble offer.
In support of her complete prosecution, without restraint, the DA can help clean the pompous attitude so prevalent in the El Paso Politiical arena.

Since when

Since when has the DA ever wanted to make an example of corrupt public officials? Where has he been all these years?

Thats funny coming from a town where normal people are out numbered 46 to 1. and those numbers are from a recent study

Plea bargain
|
If your claiming your innocent why would you consider a plea bargain? A plea bargain is an admision of guilt.

She deserves to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. She has been nothing but smug throughout this whole ordeal. I agree with the post that was previously made by "Deal or no Deal".

Our elected officials are supposed to be held to a higher standard. That is the definition of "public trust". There is no "right" conveyed to a defendant due to the agreements made in other cases - if the prosecutor doesn't want to make a deal, that IS the deal.

Plea bargain wrote: If your claiming your innocent why would you consider a plea bargain? A plea bargain is an admision of guilt. technically it is, but it's a strategy used when the defense doesn't feel the evidence or circumstances are on their side and so a plea bargain becomes an attractive choice.

Wow, is she a scum bag. The defense has zero bargaining power here and the D.A. doesn't have to bargain if he thinks he has an air-tight case, which it looks like he does. Can't imagine her legal bill as her attorney is mindlessly spinning wheels.

City Representative Quintana has done everything WRONG since that day at the airport. She CHOSE to lie to Southwest Airlines, she chose to then leave the airport to get false papers, she then signed (forged?) those papers, and then defrauded the airline by getting on that plane. Then when caught, she played revolving lawyers, never ONCE talking to the public like an adult. Now she seeks diversion like an average citizen, still hoping to avoid her GUILT. Ms. Quintana you can't have it both ways ... you felt entitled to a reduced airfare, entitled to lie, entitled to not tell the voters what you have done, and entitled to keep your job. Sorry but now you can't rejoin the little people and be treated like everybody else. Your crimes were minor for the average person, but as an elected official in a city famous for corruption you must resign and start again. THIS was not a big deal until you made it so. To ALL public officials who read this, fall on your sword, admit what you did, and see that the public will forgive you. Play the lawyer game, and try to get away without admitting guilt, and we will never trust you again. Ms. Quintana, you are a small time liar and a small time thief, tell us this, and join us in our shared flawed humanity. We are all imperfect, and we all make mistakes; but some of us refuse to own our actions and to admit to the mess we have made. You ARE exhibit "A"! You are also unfit to sit on City Council, and should be removed from office.

Suppose the DA let her off easy.........her next forgery would have been on the city budget....maybe an extra paycheck here and there or new bars on her home windows in anticipation of house arrest........pad the bill for her pet projects........little contracts for all her friends. This idiot should never have been elected to begin with and the gall of her claiming she is being picked on when the average citizen would get off easy is just gagging! She is an elected official and should have the honor to her consituents to stand tall and admit her guilt and take the punishment instead of costing the city/county untold dollars of taxpayer money with her constant attorney switcheroos even the request for a different venue like she was a big murderer instead of just a common lying thief.

Why is she being put down . She makes a great future politician. She has questionable character, hell she fits just find in el paso politics , you ask me i am surprise the democratic party does not try to convince her to run for congress since she has the type of credentials democratic politicians admire. Let her eat at chicos tacos and wave a mexican flag and BS the hispanic democrats like hillary and watch how she will be loved and win a higher post.

Don't think it matters if first time shes still commited a crime and should be held responsible for it. May be the first and if gets away with it won't be the last. This is the beginning of her crime spree. Hoping she gets away with it. She got what she deserved. May thats one thing she was wasn't educated on. Commit a crime go to jail.
