she deserves everything she gets. I hope that she gets the maximum for trying to abuse her power.

El Paso is one of the few places in this country where she could still be a seated, voting member of the city council. Ms Quintana you need to step down for the good of the city and the integrity of the city council.

Maybe that would work if the city council and the mayor had intergrity. Seems to me they are all the same. I don't intend to vote any of them back into office.

She lied, got caught, and shows no remorse. Taking those three things into account, I would hope she gets the maximum punishment allowed.

The outright arrogance and HUBRIS of this individual has got to be used as an example for this entire community. School children, her own daughter and our voting public need for Rachel Quintana to pay the fullest price and come out with the truth in front of all. She shows no remorse much less any shame.
To the lions with her!

The sooner she would have fessed up to the crime the sooner she would have gotten this over with, this bitch could have had this case behind her by now and everyone would have forgotten about this with important news such as gas prices, negro wright, or the psb and a slew of other pendejos running around out there. Whatever bad press-sentence she receives, she deserves it, vieja mensa

I usually agree with a lot you say. Not this time. As soon as this all became an issue, she paid the difference in the discounted flight cost for herself and her little girl.....within two hours. This doesn't even come close to the low standards of other politicians who actually get and give kickbacks and misuse their offices for private gains. This was a first offense demonstration of poor judgement by a young mother on a shoestring budget. It wasn't planned criminal activity.....like voting for something when your family benefits from it....or carrying a gun in the airport. I'm disgusted with the abuse of our taxpayer dollars again to carry out a clear vendetta. Did she screw up? Yes. First offense? Yes. Probation and on with it.

We only want people who rubber stamp the mayor or whose family gains financially as a result of their vote. Off with your head, young mother who made a mistake. Try walking through that same airport with a gun next time. AND if you are looking for an impartial jury? Don't look on this thread!

You piece crap, that still doesn´t make it right. Would the same apply to a car thief who just happens to be carrying $15000 in cash. Oooopppps, i´m sorry i forgot to pay officer, but i have the money. SD, your a dumbass..

Mistake my ass. Premeditated fraud for financial gain is not a "mistake". It is not "poor judgment." It is a crime that calls into question her morals. Hers. Not other politicans, not regular criminals, not anyone else on city council. The fact that some people don't really care whether or not she may actually be guilty shows just how far this country has fallen.

She forged the signature of her former supervisor. Had FedEx not conducted a complete investigation, her supervisor might have been terminated. Her actions caused a lot of harm. The costs of the investigations alone have probably cost a couple G's. She needs to get the chair.

Well, thanks. You idiot. Of course it doesn't make it "right." Who said it makes it right? I bet you don't read very well. Stop the circus. Turn it back to the voters. Let her face the voters. Recall by the citizens. I don't know which of us is the "dumbass" when you put taxpayer monies into the equation here. BUT, I bet I come in a distant second to you.

Again. No one has said she did anything other than the wrong thing. Everyone I know does "really care" about whether or not she's guilty. The fact is this should be a voter issue, not the multi-thousands of taxpayer dollars trial it's getting ready to be. A media circus. Do you REALLY think, as others do, she should go to prison, or "get the chair"...or would it be better for the Eastside community to recall her?

I don't rant. I debate....loudly. I like to keep things in control of the voter. "catch me if you can?" Fugitive?
