We have a place in Kernville and we know the houses that have not made it through this fire. Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole Kernville area.

I was on the Kings river this weekend with one of the folks who lost their house in this fire. What a way to ruin a good river trip. Hoping all who were effected by this fire can rebuild without issue. Thank God no one was killed.

we go to riverkern and rent a cabin a couple of months and i spoke to the owners last night their cabin is fine. there is no water of power in the area and there are other houses around that have been lost, please keep all the people in that area in pray and if you planning on going to the area in the next week or so please be aware of not just the lose that everyone in going to have, but also the firemen and forest service trying to complete their jobs there. The smoke and ash in the area well be bad and especially for people with asthma and/or lung problems. God bless to all in the kern valley it is the most beautiful place and we love it there very much.

Hang tough! Hopefully, everyone was able to get their families, animals and pictures out. Prayers for the victims and firefighters. Please remember that loss of life is the ultimate concern in these wildland fire situations.....not the 'almighty dollar'......keep your priorities straight!!! Thanks, Wife of a longtime firefighter

from what I heard you will be relocated to lake elizabeth...call reserveamerica to findout details...I understand your concern for your family vacation but you could have asked a different way. there are plenty of campgrounds in ca, just take the same supplies you bought for this trip and find another location...really it isn't like you spent thousands on these sites.
having just been evacuated two days in a row, Palmdale fire, I understand what these people are going through...
