Has any one noticed the Hot air balloon southeast of LHC? It appears to be lighted up. Please respond if you know anything about it.

It was a sounding balloon, it just appeared bright because it was made out of plastic, most likely mylar. I took about 100 shots of it until it disappeared. It must have been high (Nikon D40 300 VR lens) full zoom and it still was about the size of a fly. When I zoom the shot on the computer it looked cool.

Thank you for the shout-out, I was notified last night, from Accuweather, that it was from NASA, checking Atmosphere results, I believe, but also indicated it was a GPS balloon.Did you say you have pics on-line? Can I see them? Thanks again, Marie |
