dont waste your time opposing this if they want to build homes they will and expect more industrial and residential growth in the future, your property values will go up as well.

All we're asking is for BIG developers to abide by the same rules as everyone else. The area in question is zoned R-5 and the GMA has restrictions to protect the land. The average person without lots of money couldn't get away with violating the zoning and GMA codes. - Margie

I moved from Marysville to get away from crowds, looks like it is going to happen here, and what will happen to our property tax bill.
I live off Happy HOllow Rd, I cannot get out of my driveway safely, we live on a curve on the Rd, I am afraid it will be a lot worse.
I hope someone uses some sense and stops this.

If the builder threatens to build without road improvements, that is usually an empty threat because they know that they will have a very hard time selling those homes. On top of that, I didn't know that there was so much demand that 1,200 homes could be sold in the area. OK, I don't live in the area (yet) but the size of this development surprises me. And just so you know, my wife and I are planning on moving to the Arlington area in a couple of years because we want a better environment. One or two here talk about crime, I live across the Delaware river from Trenton, NJ, in an apartment complex where there have been shootings, multiple cars stolen (the record was five in one night), B&Es, drugs, you name it. Trenton, just 2 miles from my front door is one of the most corrupt cities in the US as well as gang ridden. And then we can look south and see Camden, NJ, 45 minutes away. Camden is one of the three most violent cities in the country.

I grew up in what was then country and I want to move back to the country and Vermont (my wife's home state) is just too cold for my old knees so we are moving to Washington but we won;t live in one of those developments. No, we want 5-10 acres, we have plans for our own home, and we know what we want to do on that property and we know how to protect it. We want to become good neighbors and friends and hope that we are given that chance.
