My heart is so heavy this morning for the family of Brian. He and my son were in the same cadet class and stood side by side for six months. All I heard were outstanding comments on Brian and his attitude. It was obvious why this young man was elected President of the Cadet Class #113.
To think that his untimely death was caused by alcohol on so many different levels is beyond me at the moment, so I will not even go there.
I will chose to pray for his beautiful wife, his mom (whom I identify with most), his father, and the rest of his family and beloved ones.
God Bless You Brian and Thank You for all you have so unselfishly given the rest of us undeserving people. May we realize the price these men and women are paying to fight a war on home grounds to give us freedom to walk and drive safely everyday.

I saw the LEADS message regarding Trooper McMillen's untimely passing, while I was on patrol in Lake County, Illinois. It strikes close to home, and to the heart, knowing this trooper is a brother in law enforcement, and he was trying to make a difference and protect and serve the people of Illinois. It becomes even more unfortunate and hard to bare, knowing two drivers involved in the traffic crash which took this public servant's life, were driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. When are people going to learn? This is unforgiveable, and was totally preventable. My heart goes out to Trooper Brian McMillen's family, and his fellow troopers. You will be greatly missed, and your service will never be forgotten.

I am trying to find out information about where to send a condolence card. I belong to Pana's First Church of the Nazarene and he and his family are known by many of our members but I have not found any information of where to send it to. Would you have that information? You can send it to me at [email protected] I would really appreciate it. Everyone in the church wants his family to know we are Praying for them and we LOVE them. Thanks April

I worked at the local golf course with Brian McMillan for a couple of summers while He was in high school and I was in college. I was in my late 20's at the time and Brian was a teenager. Some days he wore me out at work, as he did things 100%. I never forgot his work ethic and attitude. He was a great soul. Having not seen Brian for a few years, I am not suprised at all that Brian had done so well for himself. That just adds to the tragedy in all of this. Thank God there is a Heaven so that Brian will get his reward.

Brian, I know you have touched so many lives in the short time you was here. As I stood across from the Church the day of your funeral I was overwhelmed at the amount of people there. 600 + Officers came to show great respect. My heart goes out to your family and friends. Thank You for your great service. God has called you home to be with him. You have gained what we all have to yet to gain. God Bless you Trooper Brian McMillen 996
