I am the mom of an 11 year old and was looking up IC Talent's new address in San Diego as I came across this article. I used to take my daughter up to Lake Forest where their main office is and Gabriela went to class for 10 weeks, about 6 hours a week. We live in La Jolla and driving up on Sunday was alright since there was no traffic. I was going to call them when they open later on today to get the new address in SD and sign up for more classes. Gabriela loved the classes. She thought they were a lot of fun. I noticed changes in her very fast: She is more outgoing! Gabriela got signed right away and booked a commercial for the Wachovia bank. Because we live so far, I haven't taken her to a lot of auditions, but other kids have huge college money in the bank. Gabriela made $25,000 on the commercial which was national. Other kids work much more, even from SD. There were two kids in Gabriela's class who were driven down from Burbank as they were sent by agents. I am looking forward to bringing her back and this time we are about 15 minutes away!
Gabriela not getting much has nothing to do with how talented and beautiful she is. I refused a lot of opportunities from the agent, but because she obtained work very fast, we still have an agent:) My schedule is lighter as my husband and I own a business and we work together so I can take her more. So back we are with IC Talent for more classes. Thanks Helen if you read this. Angela

I am an actor and I just started taking the young adult classes at the IC Talent institution. I love the teachers there. All the instructors are licensed and they all have worked in the business as actors, producers, directors and screenwriters. I was amazed to find out that these guys coach actual working actors, recurring roles on the set! I am almost done with my initial ten weeks and I am much more comfortable in front of the camera. I really enjoy the script analyses classes, the notion of text and subtext as they call it really helps you understand how to actually become the character. I am off to the gym as it is my teacher's advice and I will be attending the 3PM class on Saturday. I will let you know what happens when I come in to meet the agents. They are there every Saturday, but I need to finish my classes first :) I took their photoshoot course and I love the material which came out of it: Great headshot, awesome training. I just gotta work on my abs and arms some more :)

I have been bringing my daughter to the San Diego school. She loves the classes. I took her last Sunday to the Orange County office so she can take the photoshoot course and I love the pictures that came out of it. We only saw the contact sheets and chose the one we like best, but I already downloaded the pix in my computer and emailed the whole family:) Can't wait to take her to the agents! Thanks IC Talent!

This is my simple opinion of IC Talent....MONEY. That's all they want. Be prepared to spend a the bare minimum $1600 for one class a week for 10 wks. Then prepare to spend $900 on the so-called photo shoot course/headshots. Then if you are lucky enough and get an prepared to spend more on classes since that is what the agent will expect of your child. Our particular agent did jack squat for us and only took us on due to the pressure from Helen. Bottom line is, only rich kids can make it in the acting world. I did not have the money to spend and Helen made it sound like my daughter was a shoe-in! So I got suckered in. Now we still have over 70 Zed cards that will never be used since you are required to update their headshot every year at another $900 or so. Just a fair warning...this was a total waste of time and money. Be prepared to spend a lot of money if you "get picked" at IC Talent. Kind regards to all!

My daughter went to IC Talent a few years ago(which was called ICA back then). Like most mothers, I believed Helen Goldnadel when she said that my child had the natural talent for acting. I spent nearly $10,000 on her "VIP Program," but never really felt that my daughter got the training that I paid for. Plus, I paid $900 for headshots that I was pressured to get through the school's program. After meeting other moms during auditions, I'd come to realize that I never needed to go to this school and pay that much money to get my daughter signed with an agent. And I could have and should have gone elsewhere for my headshots, which would have only cost me half of what I paid! So for you parents who are inexperienced and uninformed, you should think twice before you sign those contracts at IC Talent and enroll your child in this school! Look up IC Talent in Google and find out what other parents are saying.

Obviously written by this company's slandering competition. Just get on their site and view that ALL their kids are working. Funny because I thought that place with the owners living a life of lies and defamation were out of business by now! Anybody can write anything on the Internet. Bad people, bad comment, great school.

Yes, same person as the other post. We parents are sorry we started these posts, which were only to express our gratitude. Then people like the owner of the "school" which I do believe closed out, and the manager who worked there after working briefly for IC Talent and stole IC Talent license info got on this.
Two people can have done this: The owner of that other school which is out of business, I believe, and a previous manager who helped open it up and attempted to contact the agents who come to my child's school: IC Talent.
None of them go there of course and that woman lost her job. I know for a fact that she should move on with her life because otherwise, more info will be posted about herself. What goes around, comes around. I paid VIP money there and my child is making money and loves the classes, I can't afford having mean spirited, non functioning individuals spoil that for our family just because they know how to mess with the Internet. Shame on you, people. Get a life.

Be careful, IC Talent was formerly ICA (International Creative Artists). Read the reviews from complaining parents on Google and ripoffreport before signing up your child for 900$ shooting photo classes and other acting classes.

This person is on a personal vendetta. She wrote on all those blogs the very same day. Same story: She never did business with IC Talent and is out to hurt a wonderful place. She is either the person from their competition which is out if business, or a person who recently brought a very pretty exotic looking little girl to the school as per the general manager and kept on repeating to the owner over and over: "I am not interested in spending any money on any course."
The owner said: "I am truly sorry I am not able to help you as our school is only allowed to collect tuition money and not percentages, and unfortunately nothing is free."
The woman said: " You mean you're not going to let me meet the agents?"
IC Talent owner indicated: "The agents refuse to meet anyone who has not graduated from one of the programs which we offer, that is why they drive to us."
The woman then hung up. If it's her and not the usual competition that my son's school has been dealing with, she is just a mom who doesn't want to spend money on her child or cannot. They know who it is because the general manager said that she kept on repeating the same thing and demanding free services... I walked in on the conversation they were having about it the same day as I bring my child a lot and have for years.
I am one of the moms who started the blogging... Little did we know it would turn out to be the trash that mean spirited people lay out on good places. I know because my niece owns a restaurant in Boston and she had to deal with similar defamation from a competitive food place. Shame on you lady! Karma is a b...
