Was that on the corner of Happy and Healthy? Pay out rather than own up.

Probably means another round of employee layoffs to cover the cost. How stupid can they be.

lol, sounds like the broke ass liberal state of california trying to drum up money to pay it's bills. I'm sure the money will go to keep some overpaid union people working or to build high speed rail that no one will use.

dude they broke HIPAA laws. Yup a few employees will be let go to cover the costs of this illegal activity. Big wigs in Cali should be fired but they will get probably a slap on the hand.

I've always found it strange that my store alone throws away so much product that could be considered dangerous. Broken CFL lightbulbs go in the dumpster without a care in the world. I'm not sure what happens if there's a damaged container of lighter fluid or motor oil.
Of course, we don't have any way to properly dispose of chemicals either.
I'm guessing California is the only state that has regulations like these?

It said wags was sending waste to the landfills? That explains why I saw the entire corporate staff standing in the middle of the garbage dump!

Because something is a law doesn't mean it's a big deal. Going 1 mph over the speed limit is breaking the law too. Who gives a shiznit? This is just a case of a Big Govt Socialist state, which is nearly bankrupt, trying to pull some money into their coffers. Frankly, I wish an earthquake would dump the whole state into the Pacific Ocean.

Yeah! Cutting employee pays can no longer fill that hole of greed, now we have to cut corners! Sigh!
