Mayor Blob Foster and our brand new police chief justified reducing police staffing 15% by claiming crime is down in Long Beach. Yet, just recently, the FBI crime statistics were released indicating crime is up in Long Beach. Now we have a report indicating the crime problem in Long Beach is worse than LA. Furthermore, the only city in LA or Orange county with worse crime than Long Beach is Compton.

WHY IS OUR MAYOR AND CHIEF OF POLICE LYING TO US? What else are they lying to us about?

Compton #8? I find that hard to believe. Go to Paicoma or Huntingon Park or Lynwood and tell me Compton is more dangerous.

These surveys are meaningless. Ask Ronnie Chassen how safe Beverly Hills is compared to Compton!

Anyone else notice how every one of those cities are predominately black neighborhoods? Except for Compton which is now mostly hispanic.

"Among others," the most important factor being how many blacks per square mile. Can't fix the problem if you don't acknowledge it's existence.
45 years after he civil rights movement, black still dominate in the generation of serious crimes. Deal with it.
Until blacks can drop a bomb on Japan we will always trail behind whites.

Instead of pointing the finger at blacks, pick up a history book, and read about how whites have killed everything and everybody on this planet.Did you forget? When you sit down and feed your face on so-called Thanksgiving, just remenber all the people killed for that cause.

COMPTON??????Darn it. And, after Long Beach City Hall did so much to entice the criminals to "choose Long Beach". All that public housing, all these illegals, and still we don't get the disrespect we deserve.

Dear Dummy, I mean Dusty, one person gets shot to death in Beverly Hills and you compare it to Compton? Seriously, you can't really be that dumb are you? Actually, you're right, Compton is much safer than Beverly Hills, why don't you move there!

Thank you for responding, but your reply comment makes absolutely no sense at all.

Many people who feel threatened by the grim situation in TJ move to San Diego, so it must be relatively safe.
