My husband and I are thinking about coming down to Laguna Woods to buy a small condo as a "getaway" place from our home in Northern California. We are amazed at the large number, low prices and good quality of the condo's up for sale as we see them online with Realtor.com and Ziprealty.com . My question is: why are so many up for sale and is it because residents are not happy in Laguna Woods? Please post your comments about your experience in Laguna Woods, positive or negative. Thank you.

Elizabeth, I was just browsing at information online for Laguna Woods and came across your question to folks there from quite awhile ago. I wondered if you chose to move there and if you have found it to be as nice as hoped? My husband and I feel as you did....so many for sale and not a lot of information available. We live in upstate NY and hope to winter there. Would surely appreciate any input you could share.

People go there to die, not live. Pick a regular neighborhood.

It until recently has been Shangri-La, but now the malcontents, who are here to die, are hell bent on ruining what has been paradise for 50 years. They are a bunch of parisites who want to turn LWV into a low class housing project. Unfortunately, they won't go away.
