I looking to purchase in the Menifee area and thank goodness, I took time to explore the internet before doing so. The ignorance spit out by the majority of each blogger further lets's me know that some people are still very ignorant. I can't believe the hispanic lady is speaking with "white entitlement". Seriously, this is not your city in fact it belonged to the indians and hispanic americans before "white men" took what wasn't there's. Honestly, how many of you on here are !00% european... I doubt that you are. It' easy to hide behind a fictatious post and make in appropriate comments, just wondering what your boss, co-workers would thik.. I think of cowards as I read this. PEOPLE that are IGNORANT and you all make me sick..
Amen, I cannot believe the ignorance either. I've lived here only a few years, moved here from Glendora,Ca. I went to Glendora High School, mostly rich white kids and believe me they are stuck up, back-stabbing, cocaine addicts. They drive around in their cars their rich parents bought them, drinking, doing drugs,(their rich parents give them a fat allowance which they don't even have to do chores to earn it) they pay people to do their homework for them, they vandalize the poor neighborhoods, I can go on. I am white and the white kids treated me like I was a monster because I have neurofibromatosis which has affected my appearance. The Mexicans and African Americans were my friends, the nicest, down to earth, caring, family oriented kids who worked for their allowances, and didn't have an excess of material things. I know this isn't Glendora and it's different here but I'm just saying you shouldn't generalize, you should judge a person individually. Yes this land did belong to the Indians and Hispanic Americans, the Europeans came here on a boat from another Continent. THE WHITE PEOPLE ARE THE NEW MINORITY so stop calling non-whites minorities

Oh yeah and my sophmore year there were ten girls who were pregnant all white from upper class families so whoever said it's the "minorities" who get pregnant young is detached from reality

Crime Hater and wondering....I must say that I think I kind of agree with crime hater. I am of european decent, but my husband is 3rd generation mexican. We do not speak spanish, but we sure look like a hispanic family. I am not racist in anyway and grew up in a very diverse community in which was predominantly white at first and as more minorities moved into the area the crime level sky rocketed and I thought my parents were nuts when they would say that the town becoming more colorful is what did it. Well now that I am older and have my own family I must say that 4 yrs ago when I first came to menifee I saw little to no graffiti, vandalism, gang activity and such. Now in the more recent year I can tell from the demographic change it so happens that now there is more vandalism, graffiti and gang activity as well as more and more fights at the middle schools. I hear of girls at the highs schools who are pregnant right now and they also happen to be minorities. It saddens me that people like this coming into town is what gives minorities a bad name, no matter if they are a hard working family or not. The way I see it is they should keep their
ghetto tendencies and gang banging kids out of these schools and this town and stop messing it up for everyone else who wants to keep it nice. I never thought I would actually find myself saying "there does the neighborhood" but I do everyday that I see these young punks loitering around town with nothing better to do then to get into trouble...its really sad
How do you know it's not the white kids starting the fights because they don't want to accept the minorities? Maybe it's the white boys who are impregnating the minority girls

I work in Menifee and the gangs have been here for sometime...I was going to move here but, 2 things turned me away...1. Are the taxes added to your property taxes and nothing to show for it(you see where it goes in both Temecula and Murrieta)...2. The smell of poop (so much you can taste it!) when you drop in the city via Domenigoni Pkwy. Why is the city allowing that sludge to be dumped on those fields?

I am so glad I am not ignorant and narrow minded like some of the people that posted on here! I love Menifee! I am 26 now, I bought a house in the Centex Community when was I was 25 & no I did not use mommie & daddies money. I am Asian and female so I guess according to the poster on here, that would make me a "minority girl" too? hahahah! I love where I live and feel at ease 24/7, my vibe I project and received in Menifee is that nobody gives a F--- about what you do or where you came from & that is what I am all about, I dont judge or care that there is a trailor park across the street from my community. In fact, I've been in places before where the typical conversation would go like "did you know there are more PhD per square mile in this city than anywhere else" and that to me is garbage, I LOVE MENIFEE! & I LOVE that I break out a mental laugh when I see shirtless folks walking into Subway over @ the Marketplace.

I came to retire in Menifee. We raised our kids in Huntington Beach where it became so crowded that we needed to move. I still love visiting H.B. but thats it, just a visit. Those visits remind me of how crowded a city can become. Wish there were more options (roads) for traveling around Southwest Riverside but thats for the future. And the smell...well thats the dairy not sludge. The smell drifts up when the temperature changes during the day, if the temperature is constant it doesn't smell. As unpleasent as the smell is,the good definately overcomes the bad. And buy the way those Mello Roos taxes, you do see them one way or another. I don't like them either but even though our kids are grown and moved on we need the schools, drainage, sewage, electrical, roads and others in a newly developing area. So when you drive down from Hemet...think about it.

WOW Really? Most Ignorant comment by far..
When I move to this town it was full of empty fields and run down homes with boards in the windows and graffiti on them. I was so convinced this town was going to become SUPER things in the futures. Well In the past 9 years, Menifee has become more diverse what this means is.. Menifee has more “Colored Folks” than they did in the past and from what I have experienced is that they tend to take pride in their homes, their yards etc.. Now this town still sucks ass if you ask me, I still ask myself daily why the hell I moved here 9 years ago and why didn’t I sell our home at the top of the market and get the hell out. The answer remains the same.. God I DO NOT KNOW!!!
9 years later, our new neighborhoods being only 9 years old have new white trash moving into the foreclosed homes, they park their multiple cars in the drive way, in the grass and don’t seem to care what the HOA has to say. Yet my “Colored” neighbors all have the best yards, the best kept cars and the best behaved kids.. By god they even pull their trash cans in after trash day. I mean all the way in not leave them in front of their garage until the following trash day.
So to all these ignorant militant folks in Menifee that feel this town need to be filled with nothing but white folks.. Get a life…Trash comes in all races, we all bleed one color red..
PS~ Drive through Rustlers Ranch AKA Hustlers Ranch and take a peek at how those homes look and how run down they are and then take another look and look at the type of folks that live there.. Oh my..They happen to be predominately WHITE..Sick asses how dare you all past judgment on other races. I guarantee you all who have made these stupid ass comments are not 100% white your selves.

Wow. There's some pretty strong feelings in this discussion. Good to see things being talked about, though!
I've been in Menifee for about 5 years. It's definitely on a downward trend in the last few years. My concerns aren't racial. It's about trying to be a good neighbor and being really disappointed with a lot of people in our area.
I don't care what color you are or your ethnic/cultural background. I want you to keep up your house and property. I don't want to hear your car stereo from two blocks away. I want you to keep your dog and kid out of the street. I don't want to watch you openly use and sell drugs. I don't want to be surrounded by painted tag scrawls everywhere.
I want people to just try and be a little considerate of each other. And it amazes me how it's all eroding away.
Agree

I so agree with people being inconsiderate of others.
There are kids and dogs playing in the street outside of my home all the time. Ages 3 to about 6. They leave their bikes and scooter in the middle of the road.
Their 2 dogs poop in everyones yards and they NEVER pick it up.
When a car comes by and beeps to alert the children, the parents run out of the house and start yelling at the cars! Why don't you stay outside and watch or play with your children? They have a large backyard, why don't they play back there? And the park is exactly 2 blocks away in the community right next to their school. Get off your butts and take your kids to the park and spend some time with them.

I wish we could make Menifee better. Asking the Sheriff's Dept. to come out and actually enforce the law can be frustrating. The RSO doesn't seem interested in doing their part, the City Council just seems to ignore complaints, and trying to get support from neighbors can be futile at times.
I'm not asking for some unrealistic utopia - just a reasonable standard for people to be held to. Any ideas on how to make things better??

looking to move to Menifee/Sun City; the homes are dirt cheap. I am black, retired military and make 6 figures (legally). White ppl, I may look intimidating but I mean you no harm. Please don't cross the street when me and my Asian finace' walk the neighborhood.
I doesn't smoke crack but I dooos love me some fried chicken (smiling big right now:).

All kidding aside, I am very much thinking of moving to the 'burbs, and yes I am black but I really do NOT mean you any harm:)

My daughter just graduated nursing school in San Diego and will probably visit me occasionally (for the cop's profile alert).

That's all, have a great day!

My answer is YES!
Have been in and around this valley since the 1960's and have seen a very big change which I am not liking. Used to be a very clean, nice laid back area but lately it has become more hustle and bustle. Oh sure it was bound to happen with all the open space that was here but come on already. Are we really ready for all these people? The freeway is a mess and no improvement in sight to ease the congestion. Never did I see any graffiti before but since all the low income people with their teens moved in it is every where and it is hurting the property values too. Lets face it I would not want to raise my children in an area where there is more and more graffiti showing up on a daily basis. No longer do I even feel real safe when I look around.
PAY ATTENTION PEOPLE. Next time you are out driving in the area open your eyes and take a real good look around you and notice the writing on the walls.(and everything else around town)
