Those who dwell in the Chimes is much "happier" now that that it is the Chimes again and not Ms. 144.
Believe what you want...I have had too many experiences there not to believe that there are "others" about.

Don't be scared! The aroma of scones and tea will settle your nerves as you drift down the hallway~~~~~

My name is Chuck Sanchez. I've been interested in the paranormal due to my experiences with seeing and hearing the unexplained starting when I was a child in my baby crib. I can remember theses things because they were very traumatic for me at the time. I have been interested in the paranormal ever since, however didn't really get on the bandwagon with investigating the paranormal until around 15 years ago. In my search for answers regarding the afterlife, let's start from the beginning for me and the life changing events that lead me to my interests in the ghost hunt. When I was about a year old, I can still remember that my brother and parents lived in the city of inglewood california on Imperial hwy in a small apartment complex. It was a two bedroom apartment. I was asleep in a crib in the living room, it was around 3:00am or so when I was awaken by a strange knocking noise over by the front door I awoke and looked over to my left when I saw what looked like a mask of a hideous face about 5 ft tall moving from left to right at a good speed and went into the kitchen and disappeared. I of course screamed bloody murder and my dad came in and picked me up and was asking what was the problem and best as I could explain to him I was trying to tell my dad about what I saw and he just said there was nothing to worry about something like that.
A few years later, We moved to Huntington Park california a suburb just southeast of Los Angeles and needless to say we did indeed have paranormal activity there a well. My mother told me that one time she saw a burlap color hooded munk with the robe showing only down to the waist and moving slow towards a fireplace we had at the time. Then another occasian she said she was sitting talking to our grandmother on the phone when what she discibes as someone pooring ice water over her head and she told me she felt something coming towards her and that she began to resite the 23 psalm and that it began to move away. when she stopped it began to get colder again then she resited the 23 psalm again and there was nothing else that happened this night.
I never really saw anything myself in Los Angeles just heard things and felt things.
Anyway I can go on and on with my personal expierances but please let me know if any of this sounds familer and please feel free to leave a comment of sugestion at
[email protected]
Thank you.

I heard that city hall is looking into making part of the chimes property, some sort of spa for city employees. Has anyone else heard this?

I am the granddaughter of Lory and Wilma Watts the previous owners (of 32yrsappx)I am so glad that the new owners have treasured her. I am very proud they bought The Chimes.Thank you for fixing a really great place.I know my grandparents would appreciate your hard work.

I dont know about anyone else but our family has many great stories and happenings from this great building.

My gramma had many talks with a pioneer women and her daughter. A man at the desk busy working and yes lets not forget the young boy who was drowned in the pool, not dyeing the mob fixed this in the dentists room. The best ghost that interacted the most was Cannonball(gramma called her). She loved to knock things off the shelves and she loved grammas hand made porcelain dolls. I can't count the times I walked in to a doll twirling on the floor and falling when gramma said "Cannonball".

Grammpa loved to show us the ghosts in the bathhouse walkover(the door with the skeleton on the stair landing, this is where the workers could walk over the tubs and check on you and your needs.

I wish everyone had such a great place to grow up visiting. The Chimes has been in my life for at least 32 years It was bought when I was three.

If you would like more information please email me
do they have the spring running in the back ?

Thank you Mr Beckettfor admiring a great ghost spot

I found this old structure and photographed it. Through a series of events the children of the former owners found it and contacted me.
It has a great old history and was the bell of the ball here many years ago. Love to read these old stories of other activity going on very interesting.
Check it out at Glenn McCarthy Art and Photography in my Antiques Gallery.
And Thanks for sharing your stories.
