Is Lake Dallas being taken for a ride?
The sole towing company for this Denton County city faces one of the largest state fines in recent history - $63,000 for violating rules from overcharging customers to illegal tows - while other records show a host of civil and criminal complaints against the company and its owner.

I feel the local county sheriff and police chiefs should be in charge of regulating tthe tow business in their areas. That way you would have someone local to complain to.If things needed changing then this could be handled at election time.Oh,the state would never go along with this because this would mean the citizens would have a say in the matter.plus the state could not leavy fees.I was told by the lic.authority that if a person rented a u haul truck and a car dolly say they were moving, that they would have to have a tow lic. from the state, also told that if you loaded a car, tractor and bushhog or other equipment on to a trailer and pulled it from one location to another you had to have a tow lic.at outragious cost pluse attendet a school approved by the state. The dept. of transportation has gone wild.Soon i guess you will have to get a state lic.attend a school and of crouse pay a fee to change your tire.People need to wake up!
