I strongly think that the punishment for our classmates does not fit the crime. People who just laughed, thought it would be a good idea, but didnt contribute to the prank aren't able to walk at their own graduation and lost their scholarships. That is wrong. Coming from a student who was sexually assaulted by another student, IN SCHOOL, in a class room , while a teacher was present; the perpetrator was only removed from the campus for the last 12 weeks of school, and will be returing to the campus in the 2006-2007 school year. The school kept it quiet, and did not even tell the teacher, in whom's class it happened. I think this is way out of hand. He deserves a stronger punishment, not people who laughed at a prank. I laughed too, and I didn't throw anything, are they going to punish me too? Might as well, i dont deserve it either. I could understand staying after and cleaning, or community service, or even help putting books back in the book room. But not punishing the parents, by not letting the students walk the stage. If they deserve punishment, then for laughing i do too.
