You must be a witness. Reading over those "rules", you just converted me to wanting to be one. I see nothing wrong with that list. Sounds to me like they are just protective of themselves. Maybe a little extreme, but then again, our society is far too lax for my tastes these days. There are a few items in that list I don't think I could ever agree upon, but from that list, it's clear to me these are what I would call a smart people. Too bad I don't believe in any kind of god. Anything that man has touched, has ruined any chance of my believing in it. That includes ALL bibles. It changes TOO much for me to think it's truth. Good luck tho. Looks to me that you are making their "claim" of being god's people more strong.:)

LOL I pray for anyone who has to live their life in bondage. You think about someone telling you that everyday of your live you can associate with anyone other than the few JWS that walk this earth.
They are so scared that the JW followers will hear the true word of God that they are kept in a bubble and can only go out with a group so they can monitor what each other says.
So sad.

Perhaps, but just an observation.... it's a known fact that there are many places in the bible where god has restrictions on his people. Seems to me the JW's are doing just that. The freedoms we have may very well be blinding to us. You're always waving your bible in the air saying I'm right I'm right, but if you take a step back and look at things in a different manner, eh who knows. It's more humbling to say you're wrong. For me it's easier to simply say there's no god out there. I don't have to take sides nor will I. Hell, I'll believe in just about anything if there is fact to back it up. Right now, there's nothing I've seen that shows fact. This includes the big guy upstairs refusing to make his presence known like he did way back in the day. Providing of course that is factual. Again, no solid proof. Just a bunch of peeps going around saying it happened. I wasn't there.

LOL that is so funny. Thanks for that laugh.
The facts are in the Bible. Have you read it?
Do yourself a favor and read it. Pick up one and just seek.
If you study it some and then still feel the same way about it, then great. That is your choice to believe or not believe.
I have read and studied for a long time.
God's word don't change. Just take the time to find out.

I have read the "facts" and seen them change. Take your grandmothers "KJV"... Compare virtually any scripture. It's been altered. A JW will be more than happy to tell you the name Jehovah has been completely removed from the KJV. Removed by man. An 1899 version of the KJV spoke of jesus BRINGING wine rather than changing water into wine. Then 2 years later, turned it back to changing. For something that doesn't change, that alone is over 7,000 changes. Not to mention every "revision" means more changes. Take the 1611 bible compare it to what sits on the walmart shelf. 2 completely different books. Speaking of books, where's the other 13,000 books of the bible? So yes, the so called god's word does change, by the hand of man. I can study all day long. What I learn is what a MAN has changed, not the true word of god. Hence the reason I have no more belief in ANYTHING that man has touched. Any person that does otherwise is simply a fool. Religion is so overrated it's not even funny. Any person that thinks they "know" the truth is so full of him/herself, it's crazy. Different religious beliefs have been on this planet LONG before the USA was even thought of. Even worse, religious beliefs are only for those that wish to use religion as an escape to whatever is the real truth out there. That there is no truth. 2000+ years ago, maybe there was a truth or two. Today, none.

You value your opinion. You thrive on it.
As for me. I know what God has done for me. It is a great testamony. You wouldn't care to hear it so I won't waste your time. but God will never not be first in my life.
You just have a great life and all that it offers.
