Here is the description of the perps, courtesy of the Sun-Times which seemed to have no trouble getting it: "One of the offenders is described as a black male, 30 to 40, last seen wearing a gray Aviax jacket. The second man is described as a thin black male, 30 to 40, last seen wearing a black jacket and skullcap." Hardly a vague description, I would say.

When this sort of thing happened in the old west, men with balls would gather up in a posse and get the scum who did this, after word of mouth got around, why not try this again? At the end of the day, who cares what race the perpetrators were, except for the purpose of making the description less "vague" and enabling them to be captured. As for the shooting, it's news because it is so uncommon in Lake Bluff, but it shouldn't happen anywhere.
