UPDATE: Postmus chimes in on supervisor's call for investigatio...

The following is a written statement released by former Assessor Bill Postmus in response to Third District Supervisor Neil Derry's call today for an outside investigation into District Attorney Michael A. Ramos' alleged misconduct.

Oh yea, this is getting good. The DA is sleeping w/the enemy, Postmus is surfing the web for gay sexy, Erwin is taking bribes, etc... Biane, Derry and Orvitt are playing games like they're innocent when before they were lapdogs to Postmus. And ol' Brad in the desert is hiding under the sheets hoping his story doesn't come out. I can't wait for the next story...what wild orgies on the County's dime. It can only get better.

this was actually known to county insiders for a long time -- the other supervisors knew about it as well -- I personally heard a more graphic version of this story, not from Postmus, but from another source ...
I'm not sure that it's actually misconduct though. The DA is allowed to sleep around, but he's not allowed to use his position for sexual favors. If anything, I would think the public defender's clients would be more upset at her sleeping with the DA.
