I heard he announced his calling and is preaching at his dad's church in Scottsville tomorrow. Hope he does well and stays on the right path. I'll be praying for him.

He done a great job, and I am very proud of him. As for you lol the Lord works in mysterious ways. Anyone can change especially when you have a friend like Jesus.

I totally agree with you! Was merely meaning with all the negativity on this site that this particular comment had left people speechless

I am glad to see for once on topix that no one has said anything negative. Better to be speechless if you have nothing nice to say. I can see a real change in Chris. He really has the Lord with him, and as long as Chris keeps following him the way he is now he is going to be a great preacher. I love him more now than ever. Please pray for our family that we continue to follow God. I am so thankful for my salvation and the blessings the Lord has given me and my family.

We were seperated for a couple months but got back together about a month ago. Happier now than we have been in a long time since we brought God back into our lives.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I posted no comments on this thread but it looks as though old habits die hard in some cases.

A 32-year-old Macon County man has been charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI, violation of implied consent, fleeing & evading, and unlawful possession of a weapon & weapon prohibited, in connection with a one vehicle accident that occurred on Wednesday night, March 2nd, on the Galen Road, near the Scottsville Road intersection.
Christopher Scott Wheeler, of 342 Pointe Lane, was behind the wheel of a 1991 red pickup truck when Officer Garrett Flatt, of the Lafayette Police Department, attempted to stop his vehicle near the Sonic Restaurant after he witnessed him driving in a reckless manor. After the suspect failed to stop, a pursuit ensued toward the public square and upon approaching the Galen Road, Wheeler made an aggressive left hand turn onto Galen and lost control causing an accident. The defendant was unsteady on his feet and couldn’t perform any sobriety tests, therefore he was placed under arrest by Patrolman Flatt and transported for booking.

I don't think anyone should question anyones calling to preach! As for you Mrs wheeler I understand where you guys come from cuz I am a preachers wife also! Before my husband told me about his calling we were having marital problems and in my eyes that was god letting him no to step up or he would take his family! I pray all goes well for your family and may god bless you all!

For the life of me I can not figure out how this is funny to you. I do not agree with what Chris done that night, but I am sure that everyone including you at some point or another have felt like thay have lost everything and have nothing to live for, or think the world would be better off without you in it. Are you perfect? Have you always had perfect relationships? I doubt it. NO ONE IS! There has only been one perfect man to walk the face of this earth and you os me or no one else will ever fill his shoes. As far as my third husband goes, don't worry bout me I'm a big girl and do a pretty good job of taking care of my kids and myself!!!

Oh yeah they left out the part that he had a knot on his head from the wreck and THEY MACED HIM BEFORE HE EVEN GOT OUT OF HIS TRUCK. Wow that would make it kind of hard for anyone to be steady on their feet!!!!

It's hard for me to just turn my back on him even tho I probably should. He has put me thru alot, but I can't just abandon him while he is in jail. I know Chris loves me and has the best of intentions most of the time, he just can't seem to stay on track. Maybe this time will straighten him up, having to be away from Wyatt like this has been very hard on him. He has opened his eyes to his faults and where he goes wrong.
