Why... if it was suicide did 4 who were at the scene not call 911. Instead they cleaned up the scene, before thinking about getting help. You are right...very disturbing.

this case should definetely not be put in the case closed files..there are people out there that do know what happened to brenton but are not willin to talk because they are afraid of what the outcome will be..and why if this was suicide were there four or so other people in the house that did not call for help but instead cleaned up the scene and then took it upon themselves to take him to seek medical attention..also why then after his bestfriend brandon was questioned on a lie detector test he leave the state..there are many unanswered questions in this case and brentons friends and family would like to know answers to them...i also strongly advice that people with any type of information bring this to the polices attention even if you dont want to get the people involved in any type of trouble..would you rather have knowin information on a case on your conscience forever or help a freinds family have some closure...and we no longer leave this as a closed suicide case...

this case no longer needs to be left in the dark...the homicide team has closed this case as a suicide because they were not willin to take the time and investigate more completely..and a doctor is as good as any expert he saves lives each and everyday what makes him not be good enough of an expert on a bullet trojectory...

I also want answers... I could write, and write and write about my feelings about this. All the above comments make good points... the mother f***er that was a "best friend" fled outta the state... the little b**** that got out of taking the lie detector test... all the other mother f***ers that were there that night... clean up and then take him to the hospital probably because it would look better than police later finding a dead body. A doctor is considered an expert... Carlene you should take the sheriffs department to court and have that dr. w/ u. They called it suicide and dropped it to mother f***in quick! yeah, he was slightly a trouble maker but that shouldnt mean let the ppl who killed him run free... the police need to re-open this and get some fire under there a$$! Some things are under investigation for years and they drop a murder case at the snap of a finger or probably a flash of someones $. I also refuse to believe Brenton killed himself... and neone who says that is trying really hard to fool the public. I pray someone that knows ANYTHING will come forward and tell the truth... so this can be reopened!

I also feel that Brenton's case needs to be reopened. There are many facts that do not add up. The four so-called "friends" that were with Brenton at the time of his death know what happened. They need to be brought in again for questioning. Brenton would never kill himself. He was celebrating his birthday the night he died. I have heard different theories from my daughter. I think there was girlfriend/boyfriend issues with Brenton's roommate, and possibly a jealousy issue over Brenton. The policeneed to crack down and try to solve this murder. I feel the police have closed the case because they feel Brenton was a "trouble maker", and in and out of trouble with the law. No matter what Brenton did, or what the Police Department's feelings were, he deserves justice. He has a family and friends that loved him and miss him. They deserve to know what happened. Some person close to Brenton got away with murder. Doesn't it bother anyone that this happened? Some kid is laughing at the Police and the justice system because he/she thinks he got away with murder. PLEASE REOPEN THIS CASE!!!

According to the Detective on the case "the Dr. is not an expert." The expert is the ex-lieutenant of detectives/deputy coroner. He knew it was a suicide even before any investigation took place. They knew Brenton had run from house arrest, so it made it easy to fabricate a the investigation in their department because then the deputy coroner could go to his other job and verify it. I don't know about everyone else in this community... but to me, this is VERY SCARY!!

I am sure I am not the only one who has heard this over and over again. There was no justice in this case. No investigation, people who tried to tell what they knew, the detective wouldn't even listen because, "they are just trying to be a part of it, and they are making up all kinds of things." In my opinion...if you are investigating a murder if someone bothers to try to contribute what may be valuable information...Listen!!! In their eyes Brenton was not worth the county spending a lot of money on an ivestigation or murder trial so it was swept under the rug. And they got away with it...or did they??

The day of my brother's showing I called one of the four kids who took Brenton to the hospital. I was asking him questions and I asked if it was an accident and he told me no. He told me he would tell me more at the showing because he did not want to talk over the phone. When he got to the funeral home he backed down and wouldn't talk to me. I think he was intimidated by the amount of people there and who was there. I know a lot about this case and have heard all the stories. Somebody knows something and needs to come forward with this information. I don't understand how these people can live with Brenton's death on their conscience.

oh really

dabillz wrote: YOURE THE ONLY ONE WITH PROBLEMS? GET OVER IT And how do you suppose you get over something like that. There is obviously something very, very wrong here. The justice system has let this family down. Violated the rights of Brenton. The truth will come out...get over it, it will happen.

Thanks Ricardo...that is really important information on a potential murder thread. Get real.
Anyway, I do not know the family but by reading the short article I feel that a boy in constant trouble is dead and someone/'s felt the county was better off....well, I am sorry he is a human being, a child of God and he deserves justice just like you or I. More importantly, a neighbor of ours could be a murderer, a ticking time bomb. Is that ok with everyone? That is what scares me more than anything. I wish you luck in getting the answers you deserve.
tacky dabillz. If you had a dead family member you wouldn't get over it. Go pray for your sins now.

very scarey

Exactly what I asked detective, why would you want to let this person get by with this, so he can do it again?? His response was, "I hate to ruin an innocent kid's life." What about the fact that he killed someone?? What about the fact that this has ruined many lives. He was not in constant trouble, just a couple of things, had 60 days of house arrest. Real reason to kill youself. And if you live by way of 350 S, Twychingham you may very well be his neighbor. I think that if this kid was not free, some of the kids who know what happened would tell. But... he got away with murder once,

I agree with most of you. This boy was not troubled by any means. He was a caring individual who had a lot going for him. He deserves the justice that we are all SUPPOSED to be intitled to. He was denied that. There was a sorry a** investigation. I think that if the person was in jail, the others would eventually come forward with the truth, they have to feel intimidated knowing that he got away with it once, so why wouldnt he be able to do it again? Brenton's final gift was "The Gift of Life", so why would he take his own? He deserves justice that he and his family have not recieved. I love our justice system...

WAY TO GO FRIEND OF!!! I cant believe how insensitive people can be. As for dabillz, did you have a son killed and they called it suicidal? well then your problems probably dont amount to S***.

I know how this is

My son died too not suicide from someone elses doing and noone wants to do a damn thing about it. I mean in law enforcement. He was hit at a party drinking party 20 years old found for blocks down the road 6 days later froze to death. when statements were to be made the detective took them over to the peoples house where they were let 6 people fill out statements all together at there house in the mean time while he let them do that he left and later went back picked up the statements then had the nerve to say they all said the same thing and closed the case. But If I were you do like i did go get copies of the incident reports everything its called the freedom of act information. there is alot you will find out there.
