How hard is it

The law is that you get your security deposit back after 45 days. I got mine back after 52 days after numerous phone calls. I was given the run around several times and was treated as if I was in the wrong. After paying my rent on time every month, and then being told to "just wait" for my security deposit after already waiting 45 days, I was very dissatisfied.
My apartment was great but the customer service is awful.

these guys are crooks. if you arent a hillbilly from lafayette with 7 kids all born and raised in lafayette, do not rent from these guys. they bought the property i lived in from a previous owner in the middle of our lease and then when we moved in came in and charged us a bunch of bogus damage fees. on top of this, they took us to court while we were all out of town so we couldnt defend ourselves. losers.

I agree. They are crooks and their customer service is absolutely terrible. You will not get your security deposit back.

There are lots of reputable people to rent housing from in Pudueland. B W Parks is NOT one of them. A slassic slumlord! If that's what you want, that's what you'll get!

Everything was all fine and good with this company...the rent was competitive, the employees were friendly and helpful, and they responded fairly quickly to maintenance concerns. The apartment wasn't the cleanest when I moved in, but nothing terrible. The oven door fell off the oven the first day I had keys, but they replaced it pretty quickly. The painters were sloppy and had gotten paint all over everything, but whatever. Everything else was great. Until I moved out. I spent two weeks cleaning the apartment when I moved out, and did literally everything from mowing the lawn, to washing the windows, to cleaning out the cabinets, the oven, the fridge, etc. I even swept out the garage. I did everything but professionally clean the apartments, and wash some crayon marks off one wall in one bedroom. It was in much cleaner condition when I moved out than when I moved in.
Imagine my surprise when a month and a half later, I received a bill for almost $1000. After keeping my security deposit, they were still demanding I pay them $759 for supposed damages. Believing in the honesty and goodness of others, I did not take pictures when I vacated the apartment, nor did I think anything of it when the landlord never alerted me of the final walk-through. I offered to pay for carpet cleaning and to paint over the crayon marks. The owner of the company would not accept that, and we are preparing to go to court over it.
If you choose to rent an apartment from BW Parks, do yourself a favor and protect yourself as best as possible with receipts, pictures and demand a final walk through with both parties present.
