Uh, duh, they get robbed because criminals choose places that are still open at night. If VP stores didn't remain open all night, the might not get robbed, or not as often.

The problem is that the people in charge are to cheap to hire security. I worked for the company that does security for Marsh stores and the VP stores ( Trinity Exec. Services from Indianapolis) and Marsh LLC will NOT allow them to do security outside the Indianapolis market . They (Marsh LLC) says there is no reason for security outside of Indy.

Though the company will never admit it, it is all about the economics of security vs. theft. So, if a Tipp Co. store is robbed once a week at a loss of $100 and security at all stores is $1000 a week (a guess), that means they are $900 ahead by not hiring security. They won't factor the safety of the employees in that number.

They dont seem to realize that in this day and age
guns are used, The saftey of these employees are
very dangerous,I dont know how they get help in
these places knowing the history of them getting
robbed constantly. They wont be saving any money
if one of there emplyees gets killed.

There is a simple solution to this issue, but the company does not want to spend the necessary money to enable their clerks to be safe. What would that be? Simply put, put the clerks behind bullet proof glass so that no one can have access to them. Is it going to take a clerk to actually get shot and murdered for this to finally take place?

Yes the more workers you have the less likely scum bags will want to rob the place.

After hearing about a clerk getting shot and killed last night, me being a VP worker, I have really reconsidered the job. I work at the VP that got hit the 5 times in 5 months, but I was never working. My heart goes out to everyone that came in contact with the clerk that got killed. I agree that there should always be 2 clerks on, if not during the day most definelty at night. We who work at these places, always just shrug off robberies. No one has ever gotten hurt, and most of the time the retards bring in fake weapons. So we have never had the second thought of thinking, these people are just idiots. But after this last situation I have heard about, I am really considering a new career. RIP Becky
