Actually, there was a professional research project a few years ago that sought to measure the accuracy of weather forecasting in the Midwest. Several Indiana stations were monitored and evaluated, including WTWO, WFXW and WTHI.
Believe it or not, the weather forecasting of all three stations was found to be "substantially accurate" more than 80% of the time. Locally, WTHI actually edged out WTWO (84.33% to 81.29%). WXFW, whose weather forecasts are provided by WTWO staff, scored a very similar 80.87%.
So, the accuracy level of both stations is well above the 20% an earlier poster mentioned.
NO WAY!!! I don't believe you.

I watched you for years at WTHI & our loss is WLFI's gain. We will miss seeing you in southern Indiana, but wish you all of the best at your new job. Last winter I e-mailed you & asked you about weather conditions in Loogootee & you were kind enough to e-mail me right back. I had a doctor's appointment that day & the weather was bad. Good luck, Chad, we will miss seeing you on WTHI, but we want only the best for you!

So far I have really been happy with the job he took over for Mike Prangley. I was concerned at first because Mike did an awesome job while he was with the WLFI team. Keep up the good works Chad and I look forward to viewing your forecast for a long time to come. Sincerely, Bruce A. Carter

Kevin is very over the top, but he's better than Alexis King....stringy, greasy hair, bloodshot eyes, tight tight tight, did I say tight pants,(blk dirty jeans). She is awful and can't even speak correct english. Please go away Alexis!

I agree with you crutch walker.. The stats I've seen says they are 80% right 15% of the time which seems very close to me
