I think the people who put up that so-called "antiwar" demonstration deserve the hatred and contempt of all freedom loving Americans. They aren't "anti-war" - they re anti American and pro-Islamist terrorism. In other words they are America hating creeps of a type all too well known in the Bay Area. Most of all they are parasites, enjoying the benefits of living in a free country while smearing the brave men and women in uniform who make that freedom possible with their smarmy false pity.

The people who have done this thing should not be prosecuted at law, but they should be shunned and boycotted. Their neighbors should refuse to speak to them, merchants should refuse their business, and the town should condemn them in every way permissible within the law.

Yes they have right a right to freedom of speech. So so the members of the American Nazi Party, whose position on the war in Iraq by the way is identical to theirs. But that doesn't mean they deserve the respect of decent people.

"You just don't get it do you?????? Most people just go with what others are saying because they have no mind of their own! 3000 people died on 9/11!!!! Where is their respect????"
To Lafayette from San Leandro and all the rest of the right-wing ravers - we get it alright. What we get is that Saddame Hussein and the Iraqui people had nothing, repeat nothing, to do with what happened on 9/11.

What a bunch of morons - equating free speech with terrorism or treason! They're the ones who should be living in Iraq and Iran, not ones who can express dissent and take advantage of rights guaranteed by the Constitution. If you don't like the Constitution, or are only in favor of the second one, then please move out of the US. The rest of us will continue to use our brains and hope to keep a bunch of other morns from plunging this country and the world into the dark ages, like Bush and Cheney have.
What's really funny is, as a true Conservative/Republican, I can see how this administration has pulled the wool over the eyes of all of us conservatives, taking advantage of 9/11 to push through some outrageous, and immoral and, yes, illegal and unconstitutional actions. If they were Democrats, we'd be all over them - we'd have their heads. Yet they call themselves God-fearing Christians, Republicans and Conservatives, and we've been giving them a free pass. Wake up Republicans!
Huge deficits, huge spending, nation building, limiting state rights, spying on citizens, torture, killing for profit, are NOT Christian NOR Republican values. If you don't believe it, then you better go back to Sunday school, or read about Republicanism - fiscal responsibility, small government, keeping government out of people's lives, not wasting money on nation building or meddling in other country's affairs - those are Republican values...
Yeah, I know, 9/11 changed a lot. First of all, go do your homework. Iraq didn't attack the US. In fact Iraq's government and the majority of the population had much disdain for Al Qaeda. So does Iran (they are Shiites and Al Qaeda's not, but I doubt you know what that means). So why did 9/11 lead us to Iraq? Oil. If you read you'd see that both Bush and Cheney have come out and admitted that. The worse thing that we've done is to push our enemies so far that maybe Iraqis and Iranians will consider doing the distasteful, and helping Al Qaeda get back at the US. The opposite of what ewe should be doing.
Secondly, if we let a terrorist act reduce this country to the level of Iran, or Soviet Russia where everyone spies on each other and calls each other traitors, then the terrorists got what they wanted: To make us all live in a state of fear. That's the definition of terrorism. So, please don't be a moron. Open your eyes. As a proud conservative and Republican, I am ashamed of others like me who have been duped by this administration who uses our dislike for Democrats to push through atrocities that even Bill Clinton didn't commit!!
I say we arrest the bastards in charge and restore this country's greatness, before we too become a bankrupt nation of thugs, and money grubbers.

First and foremost, the memorial as is, is tacky.

If the community wants to honour the war dead (all) then there should be a proper community memorial - that I think would find support. If you too want a memorial in your neiborhood please rally your own community and build one - please stay out of ours.

For my fellow Neoconservatives:

We need to stop protesting the protesters. This isn't working. We simply cannot win against the never ending hordes of liberal scumbags. So I propose that all of us meet up one day (soon), and head on down to the nearest enlistment office to join. By joining the military and helping our sons and daughters in Iraq, we can show these god-hating-terrorists-supporti ng-Chi Guevara tshirt-wearing-baby-killing-ga ysexsupporters how cowardly they really are. By taking action and finally showing that we ourselves are not afraid to lay our lives down for the sake of our words, we can teach by example. After all, we can only call these racist-tree-huggers so many names before the same old rhetoric begins to become unpalatable. We MUST stand up for our cause through action.

So who's with me?

Carrie, you are the ying, to the Cindy Sheehan's yang.

You Go Girl!

Anyways, one last point, I also propose that upon completion of our tour in Iraq, we round up these soap-less-liberal-traitors and concentrate them in a small confined area. We can deal with them, however we see fit, later (I own shares in DuPont, and they some excellent "remedies").

Following (or preceding-doesn't really matter), we should begin a thorough examination of the current state of the constitution. I love this country so darn much, that it truly pains me to see it being misinterpreted by activist judges. First off, I'm positive that the forefathers never intended for the 1st amendment to be so broad. One can hardly blame them. After all how could they have foreseen the current state of affairs. Between all these non-Christians barbarian that have infiltrated our country, the homosexuals, and liberal media, the forefathers are break-dancing in their graves by this point. Now as a preliminary idea, I think we should just chop off everything past the 12th amendment.

Following that, a one party rule would be ideal for this Democracy (maybe even change the name to Republic?). The citizens would no longer be burdened with having to choose from opposing viewpoints.

Anyways, these are just a few ideas. I hope some of you guys can add to this list.

Thanks for reading.

P.S. for you liberal scumbags, ya'll need to find the Lord. REPENT OR PAY!

Now that Obama is in office and he will end the war, let's start to think about taking the "memorial" down and restore to a natural hillside.

I would suggest that you idiots that believe Iraq were just for oil need to find a little intellectual curiosity instead of just listening to the far left wing propaganda machine that spews from ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and all the newspapers in America.

The difference between Colma versus Lafayette is Colma is a well kept, respectful cemetery - Lafayette is just a protest location that - by the way - looks horrible and disrespectful to our troops.
