Did anyone see that this store is closed in ladysmith? I heard it was closed due to the owner just not paying her bills. Does anyone have the real deal?

They opened almost the same thing at the Church right there... I doubt that was good for business.

It's really too bad though, I was hoping that she would do well. It's a hard time for any business, especially locally owned small businesses. Please try to support them any chance you get!

Yeah they church one is almost unfair. They dont have to pay tax due to it being a fundraiser for the church. They also give a you a donation slip for your taxes hard to compete with that.

Just found out that the owner doesnt pay her debts! She just walked out and stills owes the previous owner money for the business. Now she is court ordered to pay it. Also walked out on rent which she hadnt paid in three months. No advertising and no inventory = no business. I guess it sucks to be Karen Brown.

How is that slander? Slander is when you make false accusations to ruin someone reputation. Nothing that was said was false. You can look it up in court documents all public record.

if you have a business and can not pay make arrangements to settle your debts. Dont just walk away that is my point.Too many young people just think if the going gets tough hey lets just walk away. I dont have to pay no one else does. This why we are in the trouble we as a country are in now.

court documents are public record. i don't think all the information you furnished is on that record.

it happens to be the US is in a economic downfall. the same thing could happen to any business. so don't flatter yourself. if it went to court i am sure recommendations of payback had to have been issued.

Slander...needlessly defaming a person by posting their full name and personal business on a blog site and thus damaging their repuation. What gives you the right- whether your facts are correct or not, to post this persons personal business on the internet???

Who are you a friend of the person? Do you work for the Aclu? We post what we see and know to be the truth on here. We do it to inform and help people not be hurt or misled by these crooks and less dignified people. We are a small town and like to protect our own. Ones who double deal and do not pay their bills should be outted. The names of people and places are posted all over topix to inform all public record.
