The government uses an exacting formula based on one's income and expenses to determine how many dollars wrth of food stmps / supplement food is required to maintain a recipent and their families wih an adequate diet monthly. Food banks should be used by people that have applied for food stamps and need a basic food issue until the food stmps/snap allotment starts and for peopl just out of work but currently do not have enough income to sustain their families or themselvs for a brief period of time; and single adults living alone on limited income that can prove they are paying rent and utilties that exceed 75 percent of their income. But as we see in Lake County Florda single adults living together both drawing government checks and each qualifying seperately for food stamps and food banks.....and they are seen nightly in Bars, Clubs SweetStakes poker places and around time of receiving perscription drugs out selling them so the can buy CRACK COCAINE and Meth. So I am tired of supporting these "DEADBEATS" while good people that tuly qualify for Food Banks supplement help starve because the Food Banks can not keep up with short term demands.

Yup, definitely we should be allowed to double dip!
My boyfriend and I both own 2 cazs, 2 homes and both get diability checks, food stamps and at least 3 food banks give us free food every month. Heck we get so much extra food we share with our neigthbors.... they even share their prescription pain pills with us for the better cuts of meat we buy with our food stamps. It's a win win situation completely. We both could save at least 900 a month if it wasn't for my beer habit and my boyfriend's coke habit.

With the changing dynamics as to what constitutes a household ...the general concept of one man...one woman married or otherwise. When it comes to public and government social and welfare programs the aid should be based on the actual address of where the receipant abides not whether they are married, single, divorced.....so 2 people lives at 000 Main Street USA.... the combined income of both will preclude the issuance of food stamps...whereas right now both qualify because they both report rental payment utilities etc...when only one of them paid...... this can go on and on....but until total combined income and social services are linked together our system will lose bilions of dollars that could have been spent on the truly poor that really qualify for assistance. Maybe food banks need to lead by looking at all income being generated by address then supposely individual needs.

Look! Do not go messing with my benifits or free handouts in the community. Just because my boyfriend and I eat better then the people that donate the food does not mean that we are not entitled to the food! You FooL! We drive around in antique cars and paticipate in car shows and weekend jaunts when we are not to high to drive. That rental of mine is because I'm living with my boyfriend now for over 2 years and I hate to see the property go to waste. The government should not be counting that place as income because I break even. The renter pays the monthly HOA fees, home insurance and annual property tax. I make no income (surplus income) from the rental. So that expense to maintain the place is counted towards my overall expenses (income payout) and reduces my available income under the means testing for shelter. So go to Hell all of you social class Hate Mongers!
