Another etymology links it directly to the Irish term Geab ar ais (pron. g'ab er'ash), gab ar ais (pron. gab er'ash), back talk, backward chat; fig. back-slanged speech. Gab,(gaelic), n., to chat or talk a lot. Geab (pron. g'ab) n., chat.(Donegal.) Geabaire, n., a chatterer or blabberer. Ar ais (pron. er ash), back; backwards.[2] However, this Irish etymology was suggested by Daniel Cassidy, whose work has been widely criticised by reputable linguists and scholars. The terms geab and geabaire are certainly Irish words but the phrase "geab ar ais" does not exist, and the word gibberish exists as a loan-word in Irish as gibiris, defined by Ó Dónaill as "Gibberish. Gibiris chainte - unintelligible speech".(Ó Dónaill, Foclóir Gaeilge-Béarla, 630). Thus like many of Cassidy's derivations, this proposed explanation appears quite improbable.

Well actually I love this site for the most part but I do hate ppl posting names and others private info. They should make it where you have an idenity and have to sign on, plus you should be at least an adult to access this site.
Most of the crap that is posted on here, you would think its little children playing but its not, its mostly adults. Very immature ones at that.
There definetly needs to be some sort of regulation though, its getting ridiculous!!!
You just have to weed through the post and ignore the biggest majority.
Your not the first to want to get something done about this site, but I do hope you are the first to succeed

We might look to satisfy the munchies up to five times a day — 580 calories' worth. For most women, that's about a third of the day's needs. But you can slash that megacalorie tally and stay on friendly terms with your scale: Just limit yourself to one to two of these 115- to 125-calorie, taste-tested, nutritionist-approved snacks.

How we tested: The Good Housekeeping Research Institute Nutrition Department checked out 235 products — tossing anything with trans fats or too much saturated fat or sodium. Our focus: healthy, nutritious snacks with filling protein and fiber.(We also green-lighted treats like chips and chocolate). Then, dozens of hungry volunteers sampled them and commented.

For the younger set, try our roundup of healthy, kid-friendly snacks.

Note: Nutrition figures are based on manufacturers' information.

Has anyone even asked Peter about the thirty thousand estimated cost for misc expenses on the 20l3 ? look carefully at the list of costs you want to see misappropriation of funds.when they charge us thousands per yer to maintain and pressure wash the clubhouse and none of that is actually getting done I think that is crime in itself.we all need to get together and chip in for a lawyer because Pete is paying workers with our money!!!!!!!money that is supposed to come out of the builders pocket is coming out of the hoa which is supposed to be us the homeowners .Pete is advertising his new community in Gainesville with villages of park wood funds just look at the phone number listed for tremmaterrahomes.com it's the villages of park wood.and when he says all the places he built he mentions the villages.he didn't build in the villages this is Oxford! I wish Gary morse would see that a worm like Pete says he built in the villages to make himself look good.mr morse would step on him like a bug

While walking our dog tonight I let my neighbor know that we signed a contract on a house today. When I told my neighbor where, she said, "Well enjoy the $25,000 of my money!" Perplexed, I inquired more with my husband present and boy did I get an earful for the next half hour! My dear, sweet neighbor and her sister moved down from KY a few years ago and put 25 grand down on two side-by-side lots in phase one when it first began. After months of waiting, nothing was ever built on their lot! Every time they inquired, they got the run-around or the builder was always "in a meeting, not there," etc. She said that eventually homes got built but they weren't theirs! They never got their homes nor their money. She said that she and her sister and several others have lost thousands of dollars these past few years and are all in the middle of a huge lawsuit. That's how I came to find this site tonight. WOW! We have been working with Linda the past few weeks and thought things were strange when information was constantly re-evolving and contradicting what we were previously told by her. For example, FIRST, there were "only two lots left to choose from." When I saw the construction in the last phase and inquired later that week, she deterred me from the last phase stating "the homes in there are premium lots and only the one-story homes are going in there and they are out of your price range." After driving through the last phase the next day with my family, I inquired again and this time Linda told us, "Peter (the builder) said he would give you The Evergreen model we first showed you for 210k." (This was a very upgraded, BEAUTIFULLY decorated model that we fell in love with). When we secured our pre-approval with our lender (the one they referred us to) and got back with Linda, confirming the house we wanted, she said, "no, the Gardenia model. The first one I showed you." (It was very basic, cheap and CRAP and we had NO interest in it.) A few days more passed and Linda contacted my husband again and said she "had some models in the last phase for us to see." Eager to hopefully get to see some models I was interested in that they didn't have to show me previously, we made an appointment for that Saturday (today). Upon arrival, we quickly learned that all she had to show us was a newly completed model of the CRAP Gardenia model, but this time it was GORGEOUS! We were SOLD on it. I was even willing to take a partially constructed home in the middle, backed up to another house (which I swore I'd never do). Back at the office, she quickly gotr the contract going with my husband. But in the background, I was checking out the cabinet choices and counter color choices and got even more "truth" to the "deal." I was not allowed to get the cherry cabinets I wanted!(by now they are reading this and know who I am lol - oh well, who cares!) She said that Peter already ordered cabinets and counters in bulk and I could not choose anything different. BULLSHIT! There weren't even walls in the home yet! If I'm gonna pay over two hundred thousand dollars for a home the next thirty years, I'm gonna pick my colors - even if I have to pay for the "upgrade!" We went back and forth awhile about the cabinets and counter while she would close the door and go talk to him, try to renegotiate with me some more, then I'd compromise on some, not others and start to walk with my family. The process repeated until finally my husband completed the contract with her and I had to settle for cherry kitchen cabinets, but take maple in the upstairs bathrooms and also forego the granite counter tops in kitchen and all baths for formica. On the way home I realized I was "settling" for stuff I didn't want and felt like I was getting suckered and recalling in my head all the weird stuff she had told us to date that was not jiving and contradicting.(Running out of characters, continued below - hopefully lol)

sorry..... I typed what I was thinking and corrected "BULL@#$%" to bull crap and had trouble with the page refreshing and not posting. When I hit the back arrow, it was posted, with the original word. I did not mean to post that word lol. Please don't judge me as a Christian for using that word lol. I think bull crap is okay though. Just my opinion. ;)I really shouldn't care what others think about me, but really just don't want to give a bad rap for Christians in general, who already do get a bad rap. Sigh. Moving on.....(all this because I typed what I was thinking and cannot find a delete post button/link anywhere on here.:(

(continued from my first post that I ran out of characters on lol).....

I don’t think it was “by chance” that I ran into my neighbor tonight, nor that she was one of the many suckered into this 3-ringed circus lol that the Good Lord used to benefit others including myself one day (this day). The Lord works in mysterious ways. And I do know that what goes around, comes around and these people will get what they deserve ten-fold. I am also praying for others who read this that they are led to the right home and neighborhood and not Parkwood. I feel so sorry for my neighbor and the many that have lost thousands of their hard-earned or inherited money, retirement funds, etc. I hope justice is served quickly and that all the people who got screwed get their money back. My poor neighbor has been stuck in an apartment for over two years while someone else enjoys her money (Peter) and someone else lives on the lot she chose, wrote a contract on and never saw her house built on it. What a disgrace this man and his “minions” have done to society. What a bad rap they give to Parkwood and The Villages. There was so much I learned tonight reading this blog and listening to my neighbor that I would never have know until after three days when my check would have been cashed and been held to our contract with false “promises” that I’m sure we would never have gotten like so many before us. So glad God is on our side and that He continues to look out for us. For those of you reading this and considering Parkwood, take the advice that this blog entails and RUN!(BTW- if they don’t give us our down payment check back tomorrow I can always stop-payment on it with my bank. It is post-dated for Wednesday. So thankful I ran into my neighbor tonight. Linda said we can come in after Wed. to pick out our colors and things. THAT’s WHY – after three days they can keep our money! DUH. NOT!

This board is full of unhappy people who listened to gossip instead of using there internet “skills” to do your homework. Google “right of right of rescission laws” and look for this term on your contract and follow the requirements.

Most of the negativity that is being written is false. I know of one person that is unhappy with the builder and I have no stakes in this but let me tell you the person complaining is wrong. Everyting that is said or told to you is in the contract (black and White) you need to read the contract. There is nothing hidden. The one person I know of held the lot way longer than they were suppose to the builder did not get upset. He gave them some extras and when they changed there mind they expected everyone to just give everything back to them and leave the builder stuck with the house. They said it was his problem now. Personally Im glad they chose not to be here because we do not need neighbors or friends like this.

Wow I just read the blog by ( informed just in time.) This women calls herself a christian. Lets set the record straight. I have seen the models and they are very nice. Anyone reading this would understand models show options and how nice you can make your own home. The office help has always been very helpful and pleasant. This isnt our first home bought and let me tell you the person who wrote the previous blog is going to want to kick themselves for being a brat. On our previous home we never met the builder, the cabinets were particle board, you got laminate plastic floor for the standard. What Villages of Parkwood gives you for your money isnt to be compared to any other builder. villages of Parkwoods standard package is another builders top of the line. All I can say is this personally unhapppy person will probably regret their decision when they see what they get anywhere else.

Peter is a controlling rude and arrogant person. Linda is completely uneducated and ownly tells you what you want to here to upsell you on the price and then will deliver up inferior products. This is really a bad way to do business.

parkwood is not part of the villages. While you can drive down a sidewalk to sneak in, you wont have any amenities. They are cheaper, but if you like the villages you may as well just live in the villages.(and you dont have to be 55+ to live in the villages, there is a federal loophole that allows 20% of the population that rents and own to be under 55)
