At the time of the accident, those kids should still have been in school instead of weaving in and out of traffic.

What is the deal with NOT wearing seat belts lately ? A whole family was ejected from the car in one incident. There is a reason race car drivers wear them.

mad wrote: At the time of the accident, those kids should still have been in school instead of weaving in and out of traffic. Why would they have to be in school? They are 17 yrs old. My 17 yr old daughter was at work at 1:30 this afternoon. Before that she was at college-she is a high school senior. Those boys could have been driving to work or even going home. What does that have to do with anything?

How about stop being dicks about how they should have been in school, what has happened, happened, and it's tragic to think about that if they had been in school, they'd probably be alive. Their are people mourning them! They both went to my school :[ I hope Kyle is okay :[ RIP Ryan. oh god :[

This is what happens when people disregard the Law and do as they please. An automobile is not some video fun machine where you can act like an idiot, drive insane, and endanger the lives of others. Weaving in and out of traffic is a stupid act and we see here exactly what will happen. one person Dead, the other injuried. Families in disbelief mourning, and medical cost skyrocketing, because some careless driver thought he owned the road. And don't give me your crap about how he was a sweet guy and I'm cruel to talk about him. He could have killed an entire family today. You people need to wake up and understand a car is not a toy, hang up the phone, and pay attention to your driving. life is precious, and can end in a blink of an eye. PLEASE, be careful.

Weaving in and out of traffic, terrorizing other drivers with complete disregard for their safety, he must have thought he was quite the hot shot. When will they learn? Now his poor family and friends are left to mourn a wasted life. What a shame.

The other drivers who were "treated at the scene" were probably wearing seat belts. Sad to say, but I'm glad for once that it was the person who was at fault who was killed, and not an innocent person.
This is a tragedy for all involved, and their families

Teenagers are teenagers. They think they are 10 feet tall and bullet proof. You can stand back and criticize them, but my guess is all of us have done stupid things in our youth, the difference here is someone was critically injured and someone else was killed by the actions.
Don't you think if they would have realized what could have happened they would have not done it. But they are kids! Give them and their families a break. They need love and support to get them through a horrible tragedy. The child that survived will forever have guilt and horrific nightmares of an accident where his best friend was killed. The child that died lost his life, never got to experience marriage, having a family or being an adult. His parents are grieving and facing a loss that no parent should ever have to face.
For those of you that are so utterly perfect as to be so above everyone else to criticize someone at the worst times in their lives, I wish you would reflect back on your own lives where maybe you weren't exactly doing the best and safest thing and then thank God for having mercy on you at that time. Then maybe you can show a little compassion to someone else when they need it the most!

No its because we have to deal with to many old people on the road, you hog up the lanes and drive 10 miles under the limit which forces us to take risks so we can get to work on time so we won't get fired! You also are the ones who get the speed limit signs down if you can't drive 65 then now one else should be able to.

Most likely the parents don't wear their seatbelts either, and therefore never taught the child, and here is the result. It would have been a walk-away crash with seatbelts.

this family is still grieving the loss of a child to violence earlier this year, even though what ryan did was wrong, he had a suspended license and should noty have been driving, my heart goes out to all the families affected by this tragedy

We should push the legal driving age back to 18.
