Dirt Roads in Columbus

Believe it or not unpaved roads still exist in Columbus despite the city's announcement years ago that this problem has been resolved. Sampson St., located between Pecan Street and E. Wynnton Lane in the E. Wynnton section of town, is still a very bumpy dirt road loaded with huge river rocks. What is the excuse for not paving the entire street? Negligence.

I knew someone that lived off there. Only like a block of it isn't paved. It goes from paved, to a small section unpaved, back to paved after a stop sign. I always wondered why it was like that.

Come on guys there are more important things to be concerned about. Probably a temporary lack of funds.

Yeah. I'm not concerned about it like the OP. Just always wondered. If you look at a map of the city on Google Maps, etc, it doesn't even show that part of the road. The map shows it as being 2 separate sections unconnected. Maybe citizens put the gravel down to link the 2. I don't know.
