thank God i don't live in Ladera Ranch, but i do work there. what's up with the adults there? i've never met ruder people in my life and i've lived in so cal my entire life. i remember when that community was being built, and we all wondered where the influx of people there came from...what happened to good manners and respect? it's a little pocket of 'bad.'

i volunteer at a school part time in ladera ranch, and i'm always shocked at how rude the parents can be....not all of them of course. some are wonderful, but some are so rude and tacky. they are an embarrassment to their children.(i know. the children will tell me they are mortified when their parents throw a fit at their school.) they don't seems to realize their behavior affects their kids in a negative way, or they just don't care.

thank God, someone else gets this. I heard a mom blocking the bus lane the other day, due to the workers at the school telling her to move her car for the bus that "tries" to get in the "bus lane" every day. she said she had to take a Xanax due to being told what the school staff told her to do. would be hysterical if there were not kids involved in this! please tell me these "special" parents will send their kids out of state for college; i'm seriously doubting though that these kids can poop without help wiping ...... and the bitch in me hopes that mom knows who she is and that like someone else said, she's on youtube. just watched it.....yikes....tho actually extremely funny....hate to say that; but maybe not really

They're the same quality of low-level lifeforms as the inhabitants of Talega. I am going to laugh my azz off when La Plata is finally completed and their snotty kids have to go to the new high school out by the dump. Serves them right.

Those ignants sold their homes when the prices were inflated and moved to Ladera where they couldn't afford the homes or taxes. Most of those wanna b's have more than one loan tagged to their homes. Oh, but they want everyone to think they are wealthy, that makes them feel important, when in fact they don't have a dime saved. Everything is bought on loans. So many lost their homes when their first tax payments came. Most of them lease expensive cars so they can go to the market and pick up thier kids but no more driving than that because they can't go over the limit because they can't affort the the damn thing to begin with.

Is is against the law to mention names here? How about just addresses of people who are in the hole?

saw a couple of these issues: wasn't sure what was going on, but in the future I will call the cops: We pay LARMAC to deal with the field issues and several others and they do nothing.....which is really a 'typical sc homeowners assocaiton' you all pay a lot of money for LARMAC; why don't you make sure they do the job they are paid to do?????

I couldn't agree more with these comments. I lived here a year and couldn't take anymore! You wouldn't believe the things I've witnessed here from schools, our neigborhood etc. The residents here have no etiquette, they think they're something special but are complete train wrecks who live in a sheltered little bubble. The kids here are little brats, with parents like that no wonder, they don't stand a chance. It's been a real eye opener, I'm glad to move back to my old neigborhood in LA County and put this bad experience behind me. It's been a lesson though!

Wow! I've be saying this for years. People are so snotty rude and impatient in Ladera. When I tell people I live here they say, "'s so nice there". I tell them aesthetically it is, but the people are unbelievably rude. When you walk across the street at the crosswalks down Sienna, drivers act put out that they have to yield to pedestrians. My husband and I have to jog across Sienna (at the crosswalk) because it's clear the drivers don't want to stop or slow down.

People drive around here like the own the road and are hyped up on uppers. I know I'm in Laders when I'm in the left turn lane at Crown Valley and O'Neilk and the person behind me loses their mind and lays on their horn if they have to wait a split second. I don't have a bad temper, but I get how road rage happens because people are so rude and awful in their driving habits. LADERA CITIZENS...We don't come first because we live in a nice neighborhood. And let's be honest, many are heavy in debt. And many have been living beyond their means.

People don't make eye contact with you when you shop in Ladera. It's like you are invisible. So self absorbed and operating under the belief that they are some how superior because their zip code is 92694. I can't stand the people here. Especially the arrogant men and the fake women with their fake boobs, fake blonde hair, fake tan, and has probably has never finished a book unless it was about hot yoga.

I moved here from Palos Verdes where people don't have "new money" like the south Orange County. They were educated professionals and or self employed persons who were fiscally advantaged because of hard work and seized opportunities. All different nationalities lived there. I realize some people don't consider that a plus. But I digress.

I try to always smile as I walk through Ladera and make eye contact. Many just look past you. I hope when/if there's a local disaster that we learn the importance of being a compassionate helpful neighbor. But that's not usually what happens with people like this.

Has anyone heard about recent home invasions near the green belt? A few Ladera people mentioned there's been burglaries at night while the residents were home. I've been googling and can't find a thing.
