it may be worth burying the existing power lines along with the new ones. much less maintenance when you consider the track of vegitation that is now maintained is about 1000 ft wide. that can be cut down to 500 with buried lines. also no pole and line maintenance. if somthing is going to be around for another hundred or more years i would think this is the way to do it
