hawkins amusement rides!!! please beware!!!!!!

I AM WRITING THIS TO INFORM ALL RESIDENTS OF SANDY CREEK, PULASKI, AND WILLIAMSTOWN AREA OF MY EXPERIENCE TODAY AT THE OSWEGO COUNTY FAIR. MY 2 & 6 YEAR OLD SONS WERE RIDING THE HELICOPTER RIDE AND IT WAS OUR 3RD TIME @ THAT RIDE. I WAS HEADING IN TO ASSIST MY CHILDREN OUT OF THE RIDE AND WHEN I CAME AROUND TO WHERE THEY WERE THE LADY WAS BENT RIGHT OVER YELLING AT MY KIDS BECAUSE THEY HAD OPENED THE DOOR AND GOT OUT ON THEIR OWN, AND SO THE RULE IS TO WAIT FOR HER TO LET THEM OUT. I CAME UP TO HER AND TOLD HER THAT IF SHE COULD NOT HANDLE THE CHILDREN WITHOUT YELLING AT THEM THEN SHE REALLY SHOULD GET ANOTHER JOB, SHE THEN STARTED TO SCREAM AT ME. I ASKED HER SEVERAL TIMES WHERE I COULD GO TO TALK TO HER BOSS AND SHE SAID THAT SHE WOULD TALK TO HIM, I THEN TOLD HER I WOULD GO TO THE OFFICE AND FIND OUT FOR MYSELF, SHE STATED "I DON'T GIVE A F***!" AND SLAMMED THE DOOR TO THE RIDE. I RAN INTO MR. HAWKINS WHO BASICALLY STUCK UP FOR HER BEFORE EVEN HEARING WHAT WE HAD TO SAY. BUT SAID THAT HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT. AS I WAS WALKING BACK BY THAT RIDE SHE STARTED TO SCREAM ACROSS THE MIDWAY TO A MAN RUNNING THE RIDES POINTING ME OUT STATING TO TELL ME IF I COULD NOT MAKE MY KIDS MIND THAT I NEEDED TO LEAVE. I THEN WENT BACK TO MR. HAWKINS TO EXPLAIN THAT AT THIS POINT I WAS BEING HARRASSED. HE THEN WENT TO TALK TO HER AND I FOLLOWED. SHE RIGHT AWAY STARTED LIEING AND SAYING THAT THE RIDE WAS STILL IN MOTION AND THAT I WAS CUSSING AT HER. HE THEN STARTED YELLING TOO. I WAS IN A NO WIN SITUATION. I TOLD HIM THAT HE WAS VERY UN PROFFESIONAL AND I WOULD NOT BE BACK WHEN HIS STAFF WAS THERE AND HE STATED" GOOD AND DON'T GO TO PULASKI OR SANDY CREEK EITHER." I THEN STARTED TO LEAVE THE FAIR AND HE CAME UP BEHIND ME SAYING OH AND I BET YOU ARE THE ONE THAT COMPLAIND ABOUT THE GO-GATOR, AND I RESPONDED NO THAT WAS NOT ME, HE WOULD NOT BELIEVE ME WALKING BEHIND US TAUNTING "YES IT WAS, YES IT WAS" I HAVE LIVED IN SANDY CREEK FOR 23 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE THAT IN MY LIFE. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT IS WHO WE HAVE REPRESENTING OUR COUNTY FAIR.
JUST A REMINDER PAY VERY CLOSE ATTENTION TO YOUR CHILDREN IF HAWKINS AMUSEMENT RIDES ARE AROUND THEM, BECAUSE MR. HAWKINS STATES, "WE HAVE TO SCREAM AT SOME KIDS SO THEY WILL LISTEN"

I do not feel that the workers of Hawkins should be able to scream at children. If they are doing something wrong then they should be told that they can not ride on that ride anymore PERIOD. There is no need to speak to someone else's children like that. And it is very unprofessional to swear in front of children. I will not be taking my children to any other Hawkins amusement rides anymore.

i was a parent who was waiting in line because my daughter got off the same ride. no way in hell did the first story of pure crap happen. i was on here to leave a compliment on the cleanliness and respect of hawkins. any other ride company, you have their employees smoking as the ride is ran. stacy8802 get your story together will you. something else must have pissed you off that day. dont take it out on someone elses livlyhood.

I was also standing in line and witnessed the incident and was very ashamed of how the hawkins employee handled the situation, furthur more the customer is always right and as for Mr. Hawkins you should be ashamed of how you handled the situation i could not believe you were screaming at that poor woman!!!!!

where the hell is delphi falls anyway? i think that you people have a few screws loose myself. what does this lady have to win or lose lying about this story on the internet? you people seem like you know this woman and know that she did not write anyone else. i know that i heard several different hawkins employees screaming at kids before. so maybe you delphi falls quacks should get your storys straight and get a job, seens how you are so quick to jump on somebody warning other parents on a blog seriously!!!!

do you realize that i have never seen this happen before either, but this particular day it did happen, and i was told that she had only been working for the summer, so hasn't anybody heard of a bad of having a bad employee? that is all that it was a case of. mr. hawkins just handled it wrong, and i don't care who believes it or who doesn't. i have a job to do in this lifetime, and it is to protect my children and that is what i was doing. i thought maybe people would want to hear my story, that was all i was trying to accomplish. and so everyone out there know i have submitted my letter to the editor of our local paper.

I use to work with the public in different events and I do say I got out of it quick. Kids don't listen and SOME not all parents do not teach their children manners whatsoever. Tell your children to stay in the ride until someone lets them out. Its dangerous to do so otherwise. Of course, your children gets hurt for not listening who do you go after of course the owner.Hawkins isn't usually unprofessional. They have a business to run and I am sure they will be a lecture once the day comes to an end. Give Hawkins rides another chance they are a good bunch. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience on a day that was too be a fun day.

to stacy8802 sorry to hear of your bad experience but it was handled all wrong, instead of getting into it with the employee who was unfortunately yelling because the kids had opened the door while the ride was still spinning you should have just gone to the ticket booth and filed a complaint with the owner who is always there she would have listened to you and took care of it... there is more people in the Hawkins family than just the one you talked to who would and always do handle it the right way! If in fact the girl running the ride did swear at your children she would have been fired if you went and talked to the right person. I was at the fair that day and know about this whole situation.
