Gay's Boycott McCall Idaho Whitetail Resort

We may be a long way from same-sex marriage here in Idaho but there is something we can to help our brethren in California, boycott the McCall, Idaho Whitetail Club & Resort. Resort owner, Doug Manchester contributed $125,000 to the campaign to ban marriage equality in California.

Thank you for this information. Me and my large Mormon family will find other places to spend our money on our frequent visits to McCall and San Diego.

Doug is free to spend his money on whatever he wants. We are too. I'm surprised he got so worked up on this subject. Aren't there more important things to focus on?

But then I heard that people were being asked to contribute to the campaign as a way to bring more Republican's to the polls in California given that McCain isn't much of a draw there and it was a sort of sideways way to get more people out.

That's politics. But it gives me the creeps when the political parties play games with people's rights, which seem to be what this is all about.

I don't care what churches do, but the government ought to treat all people equally under the law.

Good for Him. It finally good to see someone standing up for what is right and not trying to be popular and politically correct. And whats with the mormon guy supporting same sex marriage? I always knew something was wrong with that church...read the actual Bible and see how much God dispises homosexuality. I have NO PROBLEM with people who are gay... just a problem with the lifestyle and the fact that a minority of the population is shoving their tendencies on the rest of us.
Part of the great thing about AMERICA is freedom to choose what you want to believe and if the owner of the resort chooses to support the anti-gay movement, then power to him. It hypocritical for you to discriminate against him for his tendencies when you don't want to be discriminated against for yours. PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH.

Next time before you post such a naive comment, do some research... MARRIAGE IS AN INSTITUTION OF THE CHURCH...governmental equality has nothing to do with marriage.

The problem is the common confusion between Marriage, the sacrament of many churches, and marriage, the governmental institution.
The first amendment guarantees that government does not have sacraments, so Church marriages and governmental marriages cannot be the same. It is just a bad use of language that the two institutions share the same name.
As to hypocrisy, it is equally hypocritical to say that he can preach discrimination, but we can't choose to put our money behind our beliefs.

How dare someone actually do what they want........a private citizen none the less. Doesn't he understand that by him doing this, he now becomes a "bigot", while conversely, the gay community ( with the help of the MSM), can openly, and aggressively promote their lifestyle with almost no opposition ( due to non-gays being labeled a "homophobe", "bigot", and of course "hater" by the media).
